Did US people get taxed? My email receipt didn't have a tax. I paid only $17.95.

I got taxed. :/

I don't see how being in a different country constitutes a tax charge.... but then again I never read any fine print.

Munro, if you insist on removing the image twice (first time I understand; it was too big, stretched the page. Second time, I don't understand, because I cropped it, but whatever) could you at least edit in a link, or remove the part that says 'click the image' when there is no image? :dozey:

All states but Washington(I think) don't have to pay taxes, I never have.

Calling a continuation of the HL story a 'glorified map pack' seems, to me, to be missing the point of the entire exercise.

Pfft, Indiana Jones sequels. Just glorified location...pack...shoots...well, you get what I mean anyway.
The sequels to the first indiana jones movie are what hl2 was to hl1, not what hl episode 1 is to hl2. So thats an unfair comparison.

When most games priced around $50 can be blown through in about 8 hours?
Those games get critisized for it too, so why wouldn't episode 1 be crtisized also + add to that what geagrif allredy said.

Because it's so bloody cheap and is intended to be short?

I'll wait for it to arrive in the store, I want to have the disc along with the hl2 box.

Says the same thing in HL2 the manual too, but it may be like, proning? I don't know.
