I have the nifty EQII character creation disk so I thought I'd share the display settings available. This is a Female Iksar. From left to right we have: maximum, high, low, very low, minimum. These are for both texture resolution and character texture resolution.

For those of you that prefer the uncompressed version, I present to you the 5.2MB png file.

Given what we see here, even though EQII requires a DX9 compatible video card, that GFX5200 you thought was a good deal but later realized was crap might still run this game. Before someone asks, the required system specs for EQ2 can be found here.

Nice comparision.

However, people will complain. If people are not able to run their "leet" rigs at max settings people feel like their is something wrong and they get angry. The same thing happened with Doom 3. People somehow thought that Medium settings were bad, even though the visuals exceeded Far Cry standards.

They should have it that the a typical high-end card can run it at maximum settings, then a year later release an update that updates the visuals further.

I can't play either because I'm not in North America. Bah.

WoW is coming to Europe(Hell dint they start there Europe Beta Already?)
WoW may not have insane graphics but the style and how they are modeled make it look insane. And of course Wc3TFT left a pretty nice ending I believe WoW takes 4 years after Wc3(I believe 2 years after Wc3TFT). Should be pretty cool to see how the land has changed. To bad it has a monthly subscribtion.
Oh look! Guild Wars! Hey theres also TES:IV Oblivion(YES ITS TRUE! www.elderscrolls.com) for my singleplayer needs!

Screw monthly subscriptions i got Guild Wars and TES:IV to satisfy my multiplayer and singleplayer needs.
Ohh look HL2. Ahh im in heaven!

I didn't get into the EQ beta... mehhh. I bet they only chose people that had played EQ before or had a subscription!!

It'd be better if they didn't choose mostly from ex-players, since unbiased views would help a lot more.

If you ask nice I'll upload a video that came on my pre-order cd from EQ2 that will decide for you.

There was a PC Gamer contest in which you had to see if your number printed in the magazine matched the magic number. Unfortunately, mine didn't, so I didn't get into the beta.

Personally, I'm kind of scared of MMORPGs. I wouldn't want my life to be swallowed away like that.

Pretty please with a cherry on top?

And i have an AWSOME cinematic trailer for EQ2 that came with my CGW mag.

I'd dig it if you uploaded that video from the pre-order disc also.

People who were Legends/LOE offer were given precedence in choosing people for beta. Next in line are people who have an active EQLive account for more than three months(from when beta sign-ups began), after that, everyone else who doesn't fall under those categories are chosen last...
