error please help

im installing halflife2 and when i get to the thirs disc its giving me an error saying verify a gcf file and it gives me to choices "retry or "cancel" and i tryed both but still wont install? any ideas?

had this problem with hl2 install - it was a memory problem unpacking the cab files. Swapped my 512mb memory stick out for another one and re-installed - worked O.K.
