Ignore adv drone interfacting the max drones you can have is 5 unless you are in a capital class ship so it wont help you!

Dont spend weeks on end doing drone interfacing 5 untill lots of your other skills are up to match, its a pretty high end skill and the time would be much better spend on armor + cap and other drone skills.

Doing lvl5 skills ealy on will slow you down imho!

Also if your going the drone route look into the vexor, myrm and domi... these ships are the gallent drone boats

Went on a mining op with some alliance mates today. Me in my scythe, 3 hulks, 2 retreivers and an Orca. Was only in 0.8 but we completely cleared 2 belts and had another almost empty by the time I left. I think about 650,000m3 worth of ore mined in the time I was there.

I've gone for a small craft with high speed. Is that a good idea.

High speed maneuvering and prop upgrades etc?

It's a good start, will get you through level 1 missions and most level 2s if you're careful.

Speed is important but if your going combat its just as important to beef up your offencive/defencive skills depending what race you are.

Gallent - armor/hybrid/drones
Amarr - armor/energy weapons
Caldari - Shields/missiles
minm - projectiles/missiles/shields/armor

Minmi are a bit mental to train! But totaly worth it in the end.

All races are also going to need cap skills to keep them running.
