Me too i will post screenshots soon.

Man, I should start playing again.

It's all installed and everything.

One of these days, I'll actually try and learn how to play this properly.
I've tried doing so on several occasions already and it just can't click with me.

One time I played EVE Online for 3 hours before noticing I had actually been using Microsoft Excel the entire time.

I'm just bitter because I can't afford to pay for my account right now :(

If your leet you can earn enough isk to buy game time in game but it costs like 350mil for 30days :(

Or get people to pay accounts when you give them a buddy trial and get 30 free days...

Dragoon, do you want a Buddy Trial? :E

You and me both. You got to find a good corp to join in order to get anywhere in this game.

I keep downloading the 14 day trial, but I just keep giving up.

Someone go ahead and post the classic EVE learning curve line graph picture.

lol

The few people have have stuck with it seem pretty hocked, hool, pitz ejeet, llama. Its pretty much the best game your ever going to play ever.srs.

Your first fight, your first corp falling out, your first battle ship getting blown up! All these things produce emotions that your just not going to get from any other game :D

I would really like to try this one day.

I about have my Raven fully fitted, YOU STFU!

Zephos, send me a PM with your email when you are ready to play *the sooner the better* I can get you a 21 day trial. If you pay for a month, that will get you 51 days for the price of the first month *I think it's $20, then 15 for each month or something. If you do 3 months, it's 13 bucks i think.*

Same goes for the rest of you. Anybody willing to try, holler at me.

I know it's a noob question, but how do you totally clear the screen to take screenies?

Ctrl + F9 I think does it but hitting print screen will save an image into your documents.

Looks good man :D
Eve is amazing
What Graphics card did you get??

You can Shift + Tab I think and it will open a little menu that you can do "Hide UI" or something.

i are be running

intel core i7 920 2.66ghz
XFX Geforce GTX 275 896mb
Kingston HyperX 6gig DDR3 Tri-Chan

Its not really running as well as it could atm as I'm only running winxp 32 :(

Hoping to upgrade to Windows 7 at some point.

I've got a 2.3 Ghz Core2Duo, 8800GT and 4 gig of ram. The game on maxest of settings never dips below 60 fps...

This looks like a good game but I'm turned off by the complexity.

Thread has surpassed my intelligence level.

You shouldn't be so intimidated by it. The game is very complex, yes, but in order to get into it, you don't need to know it all. Trust me when I say that. Things that Stormy and Eejit talk about are WAY over my head half the time.

The thing that got me hooked was the amount of things you can do. I started out mining asteroid belts making money off the ore I harvested. I ended up getting rather bored with it, and decided to go kick some AI ass, so I was running missions *quests* out of the NPC's.

I was able to do a complete 180 in my gaming styles by just learning some new skills. That was just amazing. In other games, if you go down one track then GL, that's it.

Also, the fact that you learn your skills in real time, so you don't have to be logged into the game to get better. Hell, if you don't wanna play the game for a week or whatever, just hop on and start tossing skills on to learn in the queue, and log off. Come back on before they finish to queue up some more!

I think the players just make it seem so complex. Only thing to remember is not to pay atention to the old players. They will tell you for example that you cannot do lvl 4 missions with a 3mil skill point char because 10mil is min. What they really mean is that when they started they got 7mil sp worth of crap skills then trained the only needed 3mil.

I was doing 4's at 4.5m SP, but I also started with Refining and Mining V....so yeah, 3m SP is simple for lvl 4's.
