Even more /facepalm America

That's his constitutional right!

I don't know why, but I almost lol'ed. I think it's the absurdity. Just HOW much of a rabid gun nut to you have to be to bring your 8 year old kid to a gun fair and place a fullauto weapon in their hands? What kind of self-examination goes on in that parent's mind afterwards? What kind of country has firing ranges with 'UNDER 16's ADMISSION FREE!' anyway?

Just absurd.

People were allowed to fire guns at cars, vegetables and other targets at the show.
That's just ****ing racist.

It's beyond me why minors were even allowed there, much less encouraged. So, so damn stupid.

its one thing to be allowed there at all, its another they were allowed to use guns.

I just hope no american has EVER turned around and mentioned that youths carrying guns is a problem, in any form/context.

If they have, then lol at the hypocrisy of your idiotic democracy.

It's not that bad that a kid at that age was exposed to guns, but an uzi? That might have gone too far.

I wasn't even allowed to use a handgun until I was 10 or 11. Putting a .22 rifle in the hands of a kid that age isn't that bad, just as long as you have responsible parents supervising.

"Here you go Jimmy! Your first time holding an actual, loaded UZI!"

"Hey Bob, look at my son playing with an UZI. Hes going to grow up to be a real American!"

*pop pop pop*

"OH MY GOD JIMMY! NOOO! HE HAD SUCH A BRIGHT FUTURE!!! HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED!!!! "

Police said Christopher ?was shooting the weapon down range when the force of the weapon made it travel up and back toward his head, where he suffered the injury".

Remember, kids: Just because Schwarzenegger and Stallone can handle recoil doesn't mean you can!

At the most, give a kid this damn young a bebe gun.
Seriously, I'm 15 and I know I shouldn't be holding a damn uzi!

I wish my parents brought me to gun conventions, the only thing I ever got to do was fire my uncles Kalashnikov at our neighbors house.

No, but the child did, ending the stupid genes.
The parents can still breed - that's if they haven't got 10 spares waiting in the wings already. I fail to see how this is any more of a candidate for the Darwin awards than someone dropping a baby out of a window. Wasn't the kid's fault.

They certainly can, it's just that after 40 the chance of birth defects, especially down syndrome skyrockets. So... nothing really changes.

Christopher Bizilj was firing the gun under the supervision of a Certified Instructor when he lost control of the weapon and was hit in the head.

Police said Christopher “was shooting the weapon down range when the force of the weapon made it travel up and back toward his head, where he suffered the injury".

Wha..so the bullet didn't hit his head. The gun did. First time in the world someone got killed my a gun, without a bullet I think.

I don't think that's what it means SS, I think they just didn't want to be too descriptive 'where he suffered the injury'.

I think the recoil made the gun point to his head. Perhaps his left hand came loose or he tried to fire it one handed, which would make it easier to understand. The gun would be very heavy and hard to handle for him, and the recoil would be very quick and violent for an 8 year old.

You could probably find another news source to find out some more details.

he shot himself:

He lost control and fatally shot himself in the head.

so where are all the gun advocates that say children and guns are safe so long as they're trained? I'd like to hear from them because ..well he was trained and obviously they're wrong; no amount of training prevented this boys life from ending prematurely

This horrible event aside, does no one else find the imagery of an 8 year old boy in possession of a frickin' UZI horrifying?

I mean.... 8 years old. D:

i think thats been edited a bit . i use a lot of guns and theres not so much of a flash at the barrel. still quite a shocking insight at how irresponsible some people are with guns

This. The first time I fired a gun was a 12 gauge shotgun in Boy Scouts...a .22 is fine for a kid that age...a 9mm, .40cal or .45cal automatic micro uzi is almost impossible for an adult to handle in auto, let alone a kid that young...parents are idiots, and so is the owner of the weapon for not supervising them better...

Whatever you do dont look at any pic or video from the middle east....they have AK-47 assault rifles!!!

dont look up sudan, congo, somalia or a lot of other african countries either

they usually have no choice ..however ****nut who gives his 8 year old a freakin UZI has the choice

Whatever you do dont look at any pic or video from the middle east....they have AK-47 assault rifles!!!

an AK 47 can be full or semi-automatic, so just because you see a kid with one doesn't mean it's automatic. Second, I don't think I've seen a boy under about 12 holding one, even in the middle east.

Also, a rifle is a lot easier to hold steady and control under fire because of it's length and weight.

A micro Uzi is one of the most erratic automatic weapons in existence, and at 8 years old, it is ludicrous and unfathomably irresponsible parenting.

This kids dad is a moron. I was shooting .22LR at age 8 not a ****ing Uzi. And I always had supervision right there. Only moved up to something more powerful at age ten and even then it was a 20 gauge shotty.

This is like giving your kid the lawnmower tractor and saying "have at it!" then being shocked when they fall under it

This is how I was exposed to guns as well.

Wasn't even allowed to shoot a handgun at that age, unless my dad was right there over me helping me aim. Idiot parents I say.
