I don't like the idea of it, i'm kinda squeamish, but I probably will give blood

When i was young i had to give a blood sample, and i threw up in a skin about 2 mins afterwards.

Now i give blood regularly though and have been fine ever since (except the last time where a trainee missed and caused brusing).

It's nice in the UK, because you get 'Awards' every so many donations so you can staple it to your fore-head to show everyone that you are a caring individual.

Yes, Murray, yes I have. I'll be damned the day I forget to sign. Or so full of alcohol I won't recognise it. It just feels right to sign my posts. Makes them feel finished. It's the same way I always start with a capital letter. It's the same on every forum I've ever posted on.

And yeah, the awards you get for donations are great. I've got a card saying "I do something amazing, I give blood".

It's like "POW! Can you beat that!!"

My gf gave blood recently, that really messed up getting it into her arm and its a giant big bruise now...its rather fetching. She was really happy about doing it, but said i would probably die, which means i wanna do it now (and angry lawyer said it goes down well so i may have to bite my tongue). So i'm yet to give blood but i'm on that register if i die basically they can harvest my organs to save someone else, which is good, EVERYONE should be on it, you don't need your organs after you die remeber that!

Yeah I think i might put my organs up for donation.. it's not like I'd need them if I die. It's kinda creepy though, thinking that my organs might be used in another person.. well i'd rather that than they just decompose, or get burned or whatever..

Thats a stupid thing to say, laziness is not an excuse and most cases are people who lose alot of blood in surgery. Or some idiot has crashed a car into an innocent person or stabbed someone for like a phone. So most of the time its a great cause to save people.

I've seen people get all weak and stuff after they give blood. Some can't even climb stairs, etc. First time I gave blood, I went to a two-hour soccer practice not 3 hours later. I'm some sort of super-human, apparently.

I'm bleeding from the nose right now, but it dosn't really matter since those special sausages i had earlier tasted SO good.
