LOL. Crazy topic, I know, but i'm just curious how many of you guys did this years ago. I read online quite a few years ago and got some crazy ideas in my head on how to rip off the local change machine at the car wash. I would make these small triangular cuts in them as directed by the websites on a certain part of the bill. I had these crazy dreams of overflowing with quarters to buy candy or Soda's with in the vending machines adjacent near the car wash. It was supposed to somehow register, then reject the dollar bill somehow(I had no idea back then, I was willing to believe though).

However, it never worked, and I wasted many dollar bills trying to do this. I got suckered. Bah.

Me and a friend did it about 2 weeks ago.
AND IT WORKED!!!
Though that wasn't a change machine, but a coke dispenser thing.
And it was probably like 10 years old. :)

Yes, the anarchy cookbook is not a good idea to read if you're as easily manipulated to do evilness as me.

At my school we've got a dodgy vending machine :)

You just put the money in and press what you want, as well as pressing the return change button at the same time - and you get your money back and whatever it is you wanted. You really need 2 people to do it though :D

lol our vending machine was open at one time, mistakenly by one of the staff. so lucky i was there at the time :D

The joys one can have with a broken vending machine. All the carbonated fizzy drinks a teenager could wish for, and enough change to buy a share of the Coka-Cola company. With such raw power at one's disposal, the world can only watch in awe.

Our vending machine is soo busted, sometimes it gives you extra change, sometimes it steals it all. On average though, you tend to get what you put in, so it's not too bad.
The drinks machine next to it is messed up. Guy before me presses button gets Orange Fanta. I press same button and get Fruit Twist Fanta... how messed up...

Heh, I wish I could rip it off, stupid machine, they deserve it! If anyone's bad here, it's the machine ¬.¬

There was a gatorade machine at my school that had the drinks drop down and pass a sensor to see that it came. If you held up the little door thingy to stop you from sticking your hands in the drink would not pass the sensor and you could get as many drinks as you needed for a dollar, and then press change return before the gatorade dropped to get the money back.

EDIT: This kind of machine :D http://www.midwestdairy.com/resources/content/4/3/5/images/Vending-machine.jpg

We had one on my old school where you got two drinks for the price of one, all you had to do was press the button a little longer. Sometimes you could get 3 or 4 drinks too. :D

lol keep these scams coming, i'll be trying them out on random drinks machines around the place tomorrow :D

(has the coin on a bit of string ever worked?)

In the old vending machines apparantly you could glue two 2 Pence coins together and stick it in and the vending machine would think it was a 2 pound coin and give you your drink plus a lot of change.

Lol, £1.98 for free? If you put 100 2p pieces in, you would get £2000 out, sounds cool :D

well, £1.96 - whatever the can cost free, so probably about £1.60/£1.50 change. It'd be a good trick if you wanted a lot of cans, but if you kept using the trick you'd empty it real quick. Of course if you pressed the change button straight away you could probably swing with getting the whole 2 pound back, saving £1.96 a go.

With the old crisps (potato chips for you yanks) vending machine at my school you just had to press the button and start smashing the machine, you'd sometimes get 3-4 packs :D

Good times, good times... :)

Oh, yer, can't count. Stupid me.
So if you put 100 2ps in, you would get £1000

I remember in my highschool, some of my friends (not me, of course not :D ) would take a piece of paper, wad it up, and jam it up in the coin return slot. Coins would get stuck in there throughout the day, and when the bell rang we, I mean they, would pull it out and collect our prizes for the day

supposidly (I've never tried this) you can stick a doller bill in the slot and just when it's about to totally go in you can rip it out against the little motors that pull it in. you get your doller back and a free dollar to spend on drinks.

Once, I saw a pack of m&m's that didnt fall for someone else,. so I got two for the price of one..

I'm such a rebel.

Well, my friends and I essentially hacked the school soda machine, there's a combination of buttons you can press to open a debug menu and do lots of crap.

I've also ripped off change machines with the triangle cut in a dollar method.

My moms old college buddy wrote the anarchist cookbook, he is actually a tame guy who is livin large because of a book he wrote using milllitary manuals etc.

the gatorade machine at my school messes up like this: when the gatorade comes down, if you just push it in and out (moving the door back and forth) for a short while, it pops out another one! then it spit my change out and it rolled under the machine.... :|

A guy where I used to work tried a more direct method once, and took a bit of metal to the coin collector in a coke machine.. when he tried to run off, he spilt most of his treasure all over the ground.
That was a pain to clean up heh.

isn't this whole discussion illegal?

What's illegal about it exactly? If you mean the link I provided, all it does is give instructions for gaining access to the debug menu of certain coke machines. That's not illegal.

hehe, well done qckbeam. If only i knew that when i was in school and we had the coke machine in the 6th form common room.
