Ever wonder what it looks like when an F-14 breaks the speed of sound? (Video)

I know you didnt say wasnt. I just said that it was cool.

Didn't that happen in Behind Enemy Lines? What a great movie :)

Cool. I always wondered what it looked like. Does the Shuttle go ultra-sonic in the atmosphere?

when shuttles re-enter the atmosphere they reach speeds of up to 18,000 mph i believe. mach 1 is around 685 so u do the math or i will...mach 26.3 however in the x-15 projects the air force did the fastest man was at 4520 mph...very fast.

Very cool :D

Wonder what it would look like if a headcrab broke the sound barrier...

*splat*

:D oh, cool.

I just don't get one thing. Those "clouds" around the plane are compressed air or what?

my mom said shes seen a plane break the sound barrier, but she doesnt remember that cloud thing. my guess is that its because the plane is over water, but i wouldnt know

There is always that cloud, though I've never seen it in person.
(Fastest I seen at a mere 600mph during a harrior flyby)
