everquest 30 day free trial?

Im downloading this now (bored) and i had 2 questions:

1) does anyone who has got this atm or is going to get it want to team up somethime and

2) does anyone know how you get a key? lol its a kind of stupid question, but im gonna download THEN figure out how to get a key. Because on the website it says its free and all, but doesnt say how you obtain one. if no-one knows im just gonna hope it gives you a link when you install.

You don't get a key, you just start paying for the game once your trial is over and you can keep playing.

I'll try to powerlevel you, I got a lvl 46 Mage or a 17 Cleric that could help, no cash to spare tho, tell me when you get on.

can you tell me what the game is like? the only MMORPG ive ever played is World of warcraft, coz i got into the beta and now it has taken over 30% of my life or soemthing. and thats counting sleep

but anyway, just how big is it? does it look cool? are the weapons good? is it easy to level up? are there lots of classes? can you buy a house? can you buy a horse? can you bribe god? does your mother make you eat broccoli?

i played the free trial but i dont really like EQ, EQ2 will be a different story. EQ is pretty bad unless your a die hard fan of EQ. The cities are like abandoned, graphics suck, you can see a whooping 3 yards in front of your face while in a cave. And it just wasnt really fun...the new MMO's coming out will be fun as hell however.

And you do get a key, during the registration.....

There is a large selection or classes, armor, weapons, alot to do, the graphics are really dated though, leveling is only hard from 1-10 and 50-65, the inbetweens go pretty fast. The game is empty in the old zones, but if you go to some of the new areas you can find alot of people, you can get a horse but they cost ALOT of platinum, no housing, you can't bribe a god but there is faction for killing certain things and doing certain quests. And no, my mother does not make me eat broccoli

EQ and EQ2 are *completely* different games.

Trust me, you'll want to go back to WoW within an hour of playing the original EQ.

yeah i agree, stick with WoW if your in the CB....EQ is really terrible compared to WoW, EQ2 will be amazing so you cant even compare EQ2 with EQ.

oh.... ok... its just i wanted to see if it had the depth and variation that i thouhgt it would have. World of warcraft is great, but it doesnt allow me to be an evil shadownight (unless i get to level 60 where i can gt some fabulously evil armour, but even then ill just have to ACT evil :/ ). Its just in everquest i presumed i could become some sort of demon thingie

anyway, ill continue to download it as i might a sell (ill just leve my PC on overnight). but if it turns out you need to spend ages on it, its not very easy to pick up or its just plain shite- ill just uninstall.

You can't just pickup and play EQ, It took me about a month to get lvl 46 after 3 years of playing, so the game isn't a quick 1 week game.

what, you mean a month JUST to get from level 45 to 46? man that must take a lot of endurance :/
