this are the cases ive been looking at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Antec_160.html

i like the Antec PlusView 1000AMG Metallic Gray File Server- No PSU (CA-002-AT)

good choice?

You need a big ATX case for a modern computer. With big meaning just that, bigger rather than smaller. My old 700/GeforceDDR was a standard ATX case, I thought I could use it too for this one (with the addition of a case fan). But it was to small. The mobo fit the screws and all, but the case was to cramped and a metal plating from the CD holders was in the way.

And if you have a baby AT (or whatever they are called) which are the smaller variants, you REALLY need a new case, as a normal mobo wont fit at all :)
Edit: Oh wait, mini tower, got that now, not the smaller mobo. My old was a midi I think, and still didnt fit :)

thks daw that pretty much sumd up everything  guess ill buy a new case :)

I got some kind of antec, with a window, 2 extra usb in the front, and like 3-4 fans then the power supply with like 2 fans, not too big but can fit a lot crammed in, lots of expansion bays. It's a good case only 100 dollars.

Xaser III

You will never want another case again. My friends come over just to look at the thing, nevermind all the amazing features it has.

I have a MicroATX case at the momment, but I'm buying a Fonnex case 350watt PSU which is a full size ATX.

I believe the KM400 motherboard I want is a MicroATX mobo, and only has 3 PCI slots. Can I fit that small mobo in my big case, or will the form factor not fit?

Go with the Antec case. If the window isn't a must then go for the case with the PSU :)

I have the plusview my self, max # of fans in it to, 2 rear, one side, 2 front, dropped my case temp a great deal from my old one (which only had one intake and one outake)

if you don't have the money to buy one of the more expensive cases, i'd recommend the Chenbro Xspider model PC61166

it's got nothing but rave reviews all over the net, is only about 50 bucks over at newegg

i got one myself, i love it

I use a Chieftec case, Antec & Chieftec use the same parts (same company I think) and this case is solid and very very nice.
All of the edges of the metal are rounded over so you don't shred your hands when working inside.
There's loads of places to fit fans, extra HD's and various other internal goodies.
The case itself is heavy and well built, I'll be keeping my case for a long time to come now.
