I ask for a brief answer; can you build a building without ground floor? you cannot. how can you build a theory without explaining the origin of first living organism? Give me a logical answer

- God created it.

OR

- Aliens created it.

OR

- Life is a self-crystalising system. Crystals, when forming, automatically and spontaneously form in perfect geometric facets and shapes without any outside influence. How do they do it? We don't know - all we know is it seems to be somehow built in. Perhaps life is like that. Chaos theory shows us that while the universe seems random and entirely unpredictable, there are is in fact a deeper underlying order - patterns that always hold true. Perhaps life is one of these self-crystalising patterns.

so... is this guy a creationist, or something? the god theory has about as much "ground floor" as the evolution theory, if not less so.

Me too! I remember you. :D

Ah, good times. Good times.

How did God come about?

Oh. Thanks for clearing that up.

Creationism (and with it, Intelligent Design theory) sucks. Deal with it.

ready to be bombarded with religious views?
mormonism (which is all I really know about, being as I am one) says, that after people die, and eventually, when they all do, everybody who got into the highest degree of heaven become gods, and make their own universes and all, just like the one in the bible, and the god in the bible came from some other huge round of gods, which were following another one. or osmething like that. now, the only question is, where di thae very first god come from? I think Animorphs explains it :D

That's exactly as randomly easy to say "bullshit" to as it is that the universe exploded from an infinitely dense singularity.

Wow, one person actually answers the question XD

That's a prety neat theory :O
But if it was true, wouldn't we be able to re-create the effect in labs?

Are people able to make crystals in labs? I've seen those kits, and the boron crystals and all, but they still do that by themselves, right?

holy freakin pagans!! that's blasphemy ..if this were salem and we were all puritans you'd burn for that! BURN!!!

Yea, but the effect is still re-creatable
You'd think it'd be the same for life...

And if you can't recreate or observe it happening, then it really isn't much more valid than saying god did it :/

Maybe he figures the more people he asks, the more likely it'll be that he'll get an answer...

in the last month or so he's joined dozens of forums ...I think with the same topic ..he's been banned in a few of them

Is everyone being so mean because the answer is so obvious, or because there is no answer?

I actually don't know the answer and was hoping someone would say it XD

Dear god no >< lol
I read that thread as it was going on until half way through when i realized the poor guy didnt stand a chance

Although i did skip all the long posts, so im gunna assume the answer is in one of those :)
In which case, i just don't care enough to find out XD

Because it's a stupid question. A theory does not require a base of origin. It concerns itself with observable/verifiable phenomina in the natural world. To argue that it needs to first explain the inception of life (which by all means it has no need to) is akin to asking "What created gravity?".

I htought inertia made gravity, or somethign like that.

It definitely doesn't require one, but, it seems like an interesting piece of information to know.
If there is a leading theory, i know i'd be curious as to what it is.

Sure, it would be nice to know that. But it's ignorant to suggest that the theory of evolution should somehow account for it.

Ikerous: if that crystalisation thing was true, it would be unobservable in a lab because it takes bloody ages. :p Growing crystals on your window sill is easy.

Option 1: There is a 'ground floor'.

Option 2: The entire building is floating ten feet above the ground, held up by ghosts.

Stupid indefinite life spans

No.

I ask for a brief answer; can you build a building without a ground floor? you cannot. How can you build an idea of a god without explaining its creation? Give me a logical answer.

There are many logical theories for how the first true living organism came about. You just havn't bothered to look for them.

EDIT: L... O... L...
Don't you just love people like this guy, hes just spamming the internet:
