First 3 were OK, rest were pretty bad.

And, her hair is pretty messy, and in a bad way.

I shall not fall for her looks and say these are good pictures!! Argh, but it's so hard! It's hard to tell whether I like the picture because the person is attractive, or whether it's well lit, posed, and shot. Someone help me!

let me put it this way. Imagine the pictures with a 150 year old woman in them.

*shudders*

I'm no photographer, so I'm no good at judging the quality and artistic flare of the photos, but I can tell she's pwetty

I am just not that crazy about photography. They look good. That's all I got.

Those are really good, very well composed however i have seen styles like that millions of times before tbh, i like original stuff mainly (not having a go, just saying what i like)

I did not like most of those pitcures, I guess I am not into photography.

Put all except number 5 to one side. Remove the girl. Put a green apple on the 2nd step up. Sorted.

Well if thats your idea of constructive criticism its a shame you didn't choke on it, shithead.

Way to be a complete and total cock, killing2live. There's enough pointless drivel on these forums already. There's no need for you to add to it, and there is no need to be an asshole.

Gorgeous girl, but not a fan of the pictures. I mean they're good, but there's not a whole lot to them, you know? It was like, "Okay crouch there and take a picture," except for one and five, which I'd like if it weren't for the photoshopping.

I think my favorites are 1 & 6. Love the boots in #5 :D:D

Well said!

Yeh, evidently the subject is in the eye of the beholder, but it's an atypical subject done with little originality. There's nothing technically wrong with the prints, it's just they're all over magazines already.

Having said that, composition and balance are generally spot on (artistic liberties excepted) :)

Give me her full details, I'm gonna throw a brick at her for that shirt!

Sorry but does anyone really think that she is actually hott/pretty/cute...whatever?

Not particularly; but that's irrelevant. Your comments fell a bit short of constructive criticism.

Very nice.. I have no construcitve comments to give, not being a photographer except I like the photography. I won't give any comments on the girl for fear of being killed by someone...

Pitcures 1, 2 and 4 are my favourites.

The rest seemed to be kinda generic "Crouch on the stairs and look sad/confused" photos. Overall, the pitcures are pretty good.

Indeed I do, very much so at least in the first two pics. I'm not a fan of the frightening hair though :( but it's art.

I think they're good, first two especially cool.

Are photos 1, 2 and 6 (where she looked pretty hot :p) her normal look and the others (like they seemed to be, to me at least) an ironic fake-teen-angst look that was put on just for the purpose of the photos?

yep, 1, 2 and 6 are her normal look, the others were as you say :) though the clothes in pic 5 are the ones the photographer wears (And she looks very hot in them too, believe me haha)

Yeah, I do. Your point?

My Point: What has the worlds perception of hott/cute/pretty come to

... just because you don't think she's good looking doesn't mean everyone else has to think that too..

Its come to exactly what is best...
diverse.

You should rejoice at the fact, not everyone ascribes to the typical idea of beauty, especially when thats become further and further away from what is reality. Not only are women suppsoed to be getting thinner, but men are on the track to become beefier. However, we're all just getting fatter... Well, not me :D

A world where we all have the same idea of beauty, is a world without excitement. There is no deffinition of beauty when everything looks the same.

Farrow's right. Sexiness entirely a matter of personal preferance and, er, 'taste', surely? Like marmite, for example.

whoa whoa whoa, wait!

Shes drinking jager first off, shes holding a cort guitar, and shes dissing' elvis with her shirt... These pictures suck! lol

nah the pictures are good I guess, and the girl is attractive, but nothing strikes me as life changing, inspiring, or thought provoking, which is what i think art is. So to me, they are just photos of a pretty person.

So to me, they are just photos of a pretty person.

But is that art? It could be argued that some of Dark Elf's work is just pictures of a pretty person. Is it that which makes them art, or is it the fact that they are so well done they almost look like photos? What makes them good, the content or the execution? (maybe a mixture of both?)

But I think that the photos, quite apart from the girl, are visually interesting, you know? Framed in interesting ways and so forth.

Sure, I understand you, but there is a majority of the population that see beauty as the same.

Art is a word that encompasses so much. Its easier to say the art of photography, printing, painting etc, much in the same way you would say the art of sitting or the art of public speaking. Then when you talk about "art" use other words to describe them. So someone might use the art of painting to make a statement or run some sort of social commentary. Rather than trying to define the word art, go back to a simpler form and use a thousands of other words we have in this great language or ours to label and describe what you see before you.
