Okay, most people know of the greatness that is www.homestarrunner.com by now, but I was surprised to find this there...

Damn, but the song is addictive. Anyone else think the clip would look good on TV?

Indeed the song is very cool! :D I love the animation style! Its great :D

yeah!

Reminds me of the sort of stuff you see on Rage at 2AM.

Still not sure what the singer's singing half the time, but hey, it's the same for most songs these days... or in the old days. Any days, really.

Haha, I didnt understand either, so I looked up the lyrics ;)

The color of infinity
Inside an empty glass
I'm squinting my eye
And turning off and on and on
and off the light

It's for this experimental film
Which nobody knows about and which
I'm still figuring out what's going to go
In my experimental film

Yeah, you're all gonna be in this experimental film
And even though I can't explain it
I already know how great it's

I already know the ending
It's the part that makes your face implode
I don't know what makes your face implode
But that's the way the movie ends

And in my experimental film
Which nobody knows about but which
I'm still figuring out your face implode
At my experimental film

And even though I can't explain it
I already know how great it--

I came in to this topic expecting something new, to hear about a cool experimental ground-breaking film in development...

...and what do I get? A flash movie. Typical.

Great tune tho :P

Apparently the Brothers Chaps, who make the Homestar Runner cartoons, are friends with the fairly popular band They Might Be Giants, and were contracted to provide the clip for the song... so you might actually see it on TV...

Oh, and Homestar Runner actually has a Wikipedia entry... amazing...

[EDIT]: I bet this turns up in an iPod ad or something...

Not really, when you think about it. Homestar is amazingly popular. Even some people I know who have 56k connections and have maybe been to 2 websites in their lives know about it.

They're behind in the times!

They're so 20th century.

Blame my phone company, they're the ones who are lagging behind in broadband enablement.

Me gots no D-SLAM.

TMBG are awsome, dont they do the theme songs for two tv shows also? Malcom in the Middle, and something else i belive.

They Might Be Giants was on the Conan O'Brien show and they sung that song. I didn't have a video tape handy, though.

Wow, I'm suprised Cyber hasn't commented yet :p

Anyone else think that the subject of the song is a metaphor for life?
congratulations brian damage, you're not a long term fan of TMBG and you're already going crazy with interpretations :P

thats an interesting view really, I hadn't thought about that. it makes a lot of sense.

Good song, Strong Sad rocks. They played on the conan o' brien show.
