experimenting with city 17 train steam skin: which looks better?

im just experimenting trying to make a new c17 train steamskin, when i saw this pic i thought it could make for a symbolic steam skin(exiting train signifying making a choice).

what looks better to you at first glance? 1 or 2? and why? if you hate both, no need to reply

Would be cool if the image faded to that Steam Green color around the edges and around the buttons.

And it would be neat to colorize it all steam green.

its weird i was thinking the same thing for that first thing you mentioned. im actually trying to figure out how to do it in the gimp, the freeware paint program im using.

The last one is best indeed, but theyre all kind of dark.... right now the sun shines and I can't hardly see the image...

turn your contrast and brightness up or something or turn your monitor towards the window

It was my idea.

I'm good with my Steam Machine skin. But I would use this over the default skin any day.

before i release this one though i want to make sure there are no bugs. this guy supposedly says there is one with my other combine skin:

For instance, some time ago, if I used the grey steam skin and I played DoD, I couldnt read the say's and the timeleft messages and stuff

i wonder if i have to be in the game to see this because i don't have a valid cdkey to be able to do that. maybe someone could take a picture or tell me what color the background is in this part.

correction: it wasn't the skin that was causing the bug after messaging him.

Make the frame and buttons more blue-ish and it'll be nicer than the standard green! I'm wondering how a red or half-life orangish will look like...

orange and red are tuff to make look good for a steamskin, but im going to try sometime. heres a thread in steam forums im releasing the skins now.
