Datrix said:Me too.
... so a power outage caused the explosions?
Hopefully nobody got hurt.
Yes. That is strange.DarkStar said:Yeah, that's what they were claiming. But now they're saying we've got multiple incidents in several different stations across the city.
They've also shut down the entire underground system.
Power outage? Yeah right.
Datrix said:Yes. That is strange.
Stupid CNN, now they've switched to a different story. :frown:
bliink said:"Major incident" say police.
Three stations damaged, Kings Cross, Old Street + one other.
Apparently a bus's roof has been blown off.
Reports of large power surges.
DarkStar said:Seriously though, what kind of power surge blows off a bus roof?
Gunner said:I'm watching this right now on Sky News. It's horrible, ****ing horrible. I hope the dumb ass french and germans learn from this, they pulled away from the "war on terror" and more and more attacks are happening. Remember the Madrid bombings? The pattern is just emerging.
A Sky producer, who was at Russell Square, said an explosion "definitely happened above ground".
He described the top of a bus being "completely destroyed".
BTP initially blamed power surges, but the National Grid, which supplies power to the Underground, later said there had been no problems with its system this morning which could have contributed to the incidents.
Explosions, have occurred at Aldgate, Edgware Road, King's Cross, Old Street and Russell Square, British Transport Police said.

Feath said:If you're listening to the news as it happened, you'll know that it didn't seem that serious at the start. It's only in the last 10 minutes that it's coming clear that it's far more serious than first thought.
I've heard six below ground, one above ground.RakuraiTenjin said:SEVEN explosions confirmed as of this moment
Gunner said:Speculation? this is not a coincidence! Day after London wins the 2012 Olympic games, multiple explosions, public transport is a soft target the terrorists have struck at before, this is not a power surge.
Devvo said:Unfortunately I'm listening to Radio 1 and haven't really heard much from them as of yet. Been checking BBC website every now and then.
