Woah, just flashed on TV (CNN) but they don't have it up on their website yet.

Hope all you Brits around here are okay.

I just saw it on CNN too.

Me too.
... so a power outage caused the explosions?
Hopefully nobody got hurt. :(

I heard a bomb ripped apart a double decker bus :|

Yeah, that's what they were claiming. But now they're saying we've got multiple incidents in several different stations across the city.

They've also shut down the entire underground system.

Power outage? Yeah right.

I didn't do it. Don't hurt me.

Yes. That is strange.
Stupid CNN, now they've switched to a different story. :frown:

Yeah apparently a number of incidents have happened in the underground...

I wonder who'll claim this?

Yeah, what the hell is going on with CNN?

Some rain in the South is apparently a bigger story than explosions tearing through London.

oh gosh that sucks Im gonna watch some TV see if any nu infos are here

""People don't seem to be panicked, but there's so many police and ambulances coming into the areas. People are just concerned, and some are just annoyed at the delay."

Stiff uppper lip boys!

And a power surge can happen like that, and you have alot of power like an underground, it can cause explosions.

Thank god this didnt happen yesterday! We still got the olympics.

"Major incident" say police.
Three stations damaged, Kings Cross, Old Street + one other.

Apparently a bus's roof has been blown off.

Reports of large power surges.

Seriously though, what kind of power surge blows off a bus roof?

I think the media are trying to keep the "T" word out of people's heads right now.

I'm watching this right now on Sky News. It's horrible, ****ing horrible. I hope the dumb ass french and germans learn from this, they pulled away from the "war on terror" and more and more attacks are happening. Remember the Madrid bombings? The pattern is just emerging.

That's purely speculation though to associate it with terrorism. Yes, that could well be the case but we just don't know for sure yet.

Woah. This seems to be getting more serious by the minute.

A Sky producer, who was at Russell Square, said an explosion "definitely happened above ground".

He described the top of a bus being "completely destroyed".

Interesting.

BTP initially blamed power surges, but the National Grid, which supplies power to the Underground, later said there had been no problems with its system this morning which could have contributed to the incidents.

Looks like the surges are the result of some event in the tunnel.

Explosions, have occurred at Aldgate, Edgware Road, King's Cross, Old Street and Russell Square, British Transport Police said.

Think of all the money they'll make on the congestion charge!! :p

That's insane. I never would have expected London to be a target for bombings D:
Hope you all are ok! :D

Scotland Yard have just confirmed the explosion on the bus.

If you're listening to the news as it happened, you'll know that it didn't seem that serious at the start. It's only in the last 10 minutes that it's coming clear that it's far more serious than first thought.

SEVEN explosions confirmed as of this moment

I just heard 4 busses total, and reports of a litter bin exploding.

Unfortunately I'm listening to Radio 1 and haven't really heard much from them as of yet. Been checking BBC website every now and then.

I work in Recruitment and have a lot of clients in London, getting most of the news straight from them lol.

Speculation? this is not a coincidence! Day after London wins the 2012 Olympic games, multiple explosions, public transport is a soft target the terrorists have struck at before, this is not a power surge.

That's called speculation.

Something tells me the true numbres/tallies are gonna come out in about 30 minutes..right now its everyone freaking out *for good reasons!*

Google news is the way to go, it's superior as it gets feeds from everywhere.

Watch your language.

This has terror written all over it, and if you think they won't strike at paris or berlin you're dead wrong.

Not only that but the G8 summit is underway in Scotland.

Bush, Blair, Putin, all the world leaders a stone's throw away from London.

/me listens intently!

EDIT: The entire tube network is shut down, absolute stand still.

I've got a mate taking his Mercedes back into London for his girl, that's gonna be a ****ing nightmare!
