Exporting SMD's

Does anyone know if there's anything in particular you have to do to a model in XSI before you export the .smd?

I've done it quite a few times, but lately it's not been letting me. After I've told it where to export it and clicked ok I get a message at the bottom of the screen saying 'ERROR: Error- Nothing to export'.

I've tried it with the model merge all into one poly mesh, without the model selected, and with all of the model selected but nothing seems to make any difference.

So...any ideas?

do u have a bone with all the vertices(points) assigned to it?

Not as far as I know...but then i've managed to export smd's successfully before. :s

How would I do this then?

Nevermind...apparently you can't export the smd's untextured!
