Extras final speech

Wow, too awesome. Almost makes me want to give Extras another go... almost.

Bump.

I've become quite the Gervais fan and decided to check this show out. Really great and worth the watch. Anyone else seen this?

I haven't seen that last episode, but I have seen all the rest of them and I love them all.

Aye, Extras is great, but doesn't reach quite the same level as the original Office.

I must say that Gervais is quite a formidable actor, both comedic and dramatic. The scene posted above demonstrates this, as does the scene from The Office when he begs for his job back (can't seem to find it on YouTube).

Watched this episode the other night actually, very dramatic/emotional performance. There's a big build up to this moment throughout the episode. Probably my favorite scene from the series.

That speech practically brought tears to my eyes when I first watched it. And yeh the Office and Extras are both brilliant.

Just realized in the british version he says 'X-factor' instead of 'American Idol'.

I remember watching this ages ago and yes, it is brilliant. Sums up my feelings alright. Ricky and Steve and Carl are all awesome and have not stopped being so. Makes me sad Ricky and Steve are taking a little break from each other right now though. :(

Ricky and Steve are taking a break. What? I am not up on my Ricky Gervais news.

I've been listening to all the old XFM shows at work and they are awesome, haven't even got to the pod casts yet.

It's a good speech. I love The Office, listened to his podcasts, but I couldn't get into Extras.

They're both working on Talking Funny with Warwick Davis at the moment.

I enjoyed Extras a lot more than the Office, mostly because it was actually funny.

"telegraphed"? is that an olde tyme way of saying the performance was "phoned in"

you people speak funny
