I was thinking the same thing, and after being a bit shocked, I lawled a bit
 
The timing is bad (April 1st and all), but it's plausible. We watched the surgery channel (I think - maybe Discovery) over Thanksgiving dinner at my moms and there was a story about another baby with insane tumors in its face. Several different surgeries were required to remove several pounds of tumor from the poor kids mug. We did indeed watch all the surgeries over turkey dinner, to see if we could.

I don't know - my spider sense doesn't buy this story though. Something's not right.

Sometimes babies are born with abnormalities, it happens, this isn't a one off case either so it's not that bizarre.

Next you'll be saying harlequin ichthyosis isn't real simply because its a rare and somewhat strange looking abnormality that someone links to on Aprils Fools day.
 
Thats incredible. I've never seen anything like that. Their eyes.. it's almost as if they are half human.. half evolved into some other amphibian species. I'd never heard of this. Probably because they don't live more than an hour or two after birth - if they make it that far.

It's not like you could see them at school, hanging out at the mall, or driving down the street.

im really happy that the babies do not suffer as they are not actually conscious because the brain doesnt develop. its still very horrifying :( especially for the families

I clicked and I wasn't disturbed, infact I had a mouthful of ravioli and kept chewing through the whole thing. Is there something wrong with me? I haven't been desensitized by viewing lots of disturbing stuff, but it's just not that bad, it looks like something from a cartoon.
 
Im with OvA, I wasnt disturbed in the slightest.
 
What I thought was the worst part were the reactions. I mean, at one point, the writer actually put the word 'baby' in quotes- as if he was being sarcastic. Come on you sick f*ck, show some decency. It may be ugly as hell, but it's still a human being.

The babies with this disease don't even look real, they look like a prop from an 80s film. Harsh, I know, but it's such a surreal affliction.

Agreed.. I feel sorry for them.. but they do look so otherworldly..
