Fat Princess

PSN is gettin' better all the time! This game looks like an absolute blast, and the concept, character classes, crazy online fun... it all just adds up to be one of my most anticipated titles.

Killzone 2

Will certainly gamefly this one for graphics alone... I must say, apart from half life, shooters just don't appeal to me though....But wow does it look pretty!

PlayON (Beta)

PS3 Owners, listen up! This isn't an official Sony product, and its only beta as of now, but you can stream NETFLIX (suddenly MS's netflix partnership doesn't seem so special), Hulu, Youtube and all your internet Favs. (cbs, showtime, fox etc.) to your PS3 from your PC. It virtually sets itself up, just download, install and enjoy!

To be honest, other then Killzone 2 and God of War 3, all those games will suck. Sure they look good now, but when they're out and everything, they'll just be meh, and you'll be waiting for the next big PS3 title.. This goes for pretty much all consoles and the PC.

I think I'm outgrowing hyping up games.

Heh ... I would take Killzone 2 out of your list, as it probably won't be that special ... but then add Heavy Rain and Little Big Planet for sure. Also Resistance 2, ICO Team game, next Naughty Dog game, and the next Ratchet game.

These will all be legitimately good games regardless of any hype, especially Heavy Rain and GoW3.

PS3 really looks like it's going to rise in popularity in the coming months/year.

Though it's definitely coming out of the 'lol lets all haet ps3 and sony' slump.
 
It's always been a good system, but because they've got no really good games they over hype like every one that comes out, no matter how mediocre, so until one of you guys plays one of these games and reviews it right and not 'OMG BEST TOO FUN DURR', I'm not expecting alot form any of them other than God of War, because they'll probably follow the same formula, just like Halo does, except GoW has a winning formula.

PS3's hardware in general is overrated as hell.

I mean, Cell? Seriously? WTF is the point of bragging about it when more than 90% of developers can't even fully adjust it?

I still haven't seen any PS3 exclusive titles that is graphically superior to Xbox360 or PC titles, other than MGS4. But then again, MGS4 didn't really looked all that superior as what Kojima promised to us in last year.

Up until this past Spring, I've only used my PS3 for my Blu Ray movies. Nothing more.

Yeah, I've heard so many promises from Sony and from their fanboys to death.

"OMFG FFXIII WILL PWN 360 titles!!", etc... you get the picture.

Sony's PS3 is all about promise., while it takes forever to deliver.
 
It's probably better to not even mention the PS3 and it's games around here, since everyone seems to hate on it for various reasons. For those of you who own one and are complaining about the lack of games, why did you even buy one so soon when you knew what games were released? I finally bought one this month because there are a decent amount of games out that I'd like to play, with more on the way soon. While Sony has certainly made some poor decisions, the system is really coming into fruition this year, with it's big exclusives finally getting some decent exposure.

If you remember the Xbox360 launch calendar starting back in 2005, aside from Condemned, it took around a year for some of the more memorable titles to start showing up (Gears of War, Dead Rising) and they slowly trickled out from there. This is pretty much the same case with the PS3, with Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted out around a year after the system's release. The PS2 also followed a similar pattern, and it's still the best/longest selling console out there.
 
Not gonna lie Valkyria Chronicles has my attention.
 
Hopefully I can start using my PS3 for gaming and not only to watch movies on now that some good shit is rolling out.
 
Killzone 2 is looking gorgeous tbh albeit a bit too grey. Damn the MP chatter was anoying in that trailer though.
 
Its true, I am excited for these games. All of them. I usually HATE all of these 'pet' games, but this one looks incredibly fun and cute!! I would prefer a whole Smurf village though, with all of them running around on your desktop (so to speak).

Anyway, it takes a while for devs to come to terms with a weird new architecture and it is really nice to see that finally there are going to be A LOT of really top-notch titles out there. I just wish there were more/better RPGs, but considering there are still a ton that I never played on the PS2, I shouldn't have any trouble keeping busy until the rest of these release.

White Knight Chronicles is my most-wanted game for the PS3 right now though. Level-5 can do no wrong. :thumbs:

Before anyone says anything about the position of the keypad, it seems MS has a patent that allows only them to place a keypad on the bottom of a controller.
 
Doesn't matter, you still have to hold the controller funny no matter where the keypad is.

I was wondering about that, they keypad placement looks like it could get kinda difficult to use confortably.

The PS3 is growing on me now though, just glad I'm living with a guy who has one!
 
My wifey actually bought me a little snap on keyboard for my ps3, its wireless and looks about the same as the official sony one, but I think its like a madcatz nyko or some other brand, it fits in just the same place and everything, but uses a remote receiver, not blue tooth... Its nice, but a little intrusive at times.
 
I'm interested in Heavy Rain, Resistance Fall of Man 2 (didn't make the list) and Fat Princess. I have no interest in Little Big Planet. I don't understand the hype for that one. I've had my PS3 since GTA came out and I love it. I was a pretty substantial hater of it from the time it launched until a few months before GTA came out.
 
I only have MGS4 for my PS3 atm as that's all I wanted to play so far. But I'll definately try and pick up Uncharted and Rachet and Clank now that thay are Platinum.
 
I've not found one game for the PS3 that has given me any lasting appeal yet.

I played the first one at PS3 launch, the story is solid, and the gameplay mechanics are fun... Although not overly spectacular, this seems to be one title a lot of people are keeping a close eye on, and come one, who hasn't wanted to play cloverfield the game huh?

The [FREE] social networking and game lobby/launching system sony is soon to implement into the playstation network. I can't explain how excited for this I am, the various arcade, bowling and social events, and all the possibilities are extremely appealing to me.

And come on, Uncharted's hangout has a pitfallesque arcade cabinet in it!

Singstar PS3

I was super skeptical about this title, as I'm no singer and not even close to being an exhibitionist, but my finance' convinced me to get it, and its the single most hours logged into any video game I've probably EVER had. This has proved to be the best entertainment investment i've ever made, the online component is simply genius, downloadable songs/videos, themes/wallpapers, upload your videos, pics and audio and watch others instantly online. Such a blast!

Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots

What can I say, this is metal gear solid, silly bits aside, the gameplay is tops. Graphically, this game was like watching a movie, truly next gen. There were countless times during my playthrough when watching the cutscenes I said to myself "this has to be pre-rendered CG" the the camera pans out and I'm controlling the same graphically stunning scene, and bricks were shat.

The graphics in Killzone 2 are looking very nice. Resistance 2 is shaping up well too. I say they will be pretty solid shooters if nothing more.

Can't think of any 360 exclusive FPS that interests me.
