Drinking too much Scotch perhaps?

Rum is a good go-to standby but I've never felt too strongly about it. I've bought Kraken a few times and it's a bit too sweet and syrupy for my tastes. I usually just drink Bacardi or some cheap Admiral Nelson's. If I feel like getting nice rum I go with Sailor Jerry's or high proof Captain Morgan (100 proof and guaranteed to absolutely wreck anybody who dares challenge it... turns parties into shitshows within 2 hours of opening a couple handles of it).
I am more of a whiskey man myself. Mostly bourbon and scotch although I'm certainly not adverse to drinking Irish or Canadian or blended whiskey if it's around. I usually drink cheap bourbon (Evan Williams baby) or occasionally spend a bit to get something a bit nicer like Buffalo Trace or Maker's Mark. Usually I try to reserve my expensive-liquor buying solely for scotch though since that's where it's really worth it. Laphroaig, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Macallan, Caol Ila, and so on. I love to have a nice glass of scotch after dinner and then read for an hour and go to bed. Being an old man is going to come pretty damn easy to me I think.
