Torrents usually go incredibly slowly on my PC, dunno why. I usually only torrent music :\.

because you client's settings are meesd up or the upnp port/s are blocked.

is this game worth downloading ?
 
you need to cap you upload limit to 15kbyte and open the firewall on the port your using for your clients. both UDP/TCP then set the global max connection to a number between 600-999 (I set it to 999). Connection per torrent set to 300 and 4 is the maximum upload slot.

happy leeching.

oh yeah don't forget to leave the torrent open for at least 2 hours after you finish downloading.

You probably have 256kB upload.
Start at like a 5k cap, then keep increasing untill it starts killing your download speed, then reduce untill you find the sweet spot in between.
 
i would figure the download speed would depend on the seeds that there are.
 
2 hour download, and I try to install...

Played a bit. Pretty fun even though you die a lot. Somehow it feels smoother, I’m not getting any hic-ups like when I played previously.

The shotgun is still a monster. :)

Well, honestly, it doesn't feel any different from the original MP imo. Except that it runs better. :)
 
Unnecessarily long load times for me though.

I mean BF2-long. (5/10 mins)

God, I really need a new machine...
 
yea its basically the same loading times as bf2 but mine only takes a min or 2

No, they just added it into the MP as a spam feature and also so you can slow yourself down and have everyone at a normal speed and thus getting yourself killed easy.
 
Just played for a bit and have to say it is really enjoyable. Firefights are really fun and I never get tired of watching nades explode. As usual guns are really fun to shoot, regardless of being pretty weak, unloading akimbo pistols into a guy and watching the blood splatter as he ragdolls down stairs is kickass. :p
 
The firefights are bloody amazing indeed.

I find it odd how you can do a glide-attack/slide-attack/whatever it's called while going up a bunch of stairs...

lol theres alot of stuff you can do in that game that doesnt make sense
 
I just played about an hours worth and I have to say it is the most insane, intense, and awesome game ever. And I love it. It's so much fun just blasting away with the shotgun. Only 2 gripes.

1. Nades explode when hitting a person - just so annoying to round a corner and catch a nade in the face that is instant death. :hmph:
2. Penetrator - that damn gun is the bane of my existence. Seems like guys just shoot a couple rounds from across the map and boom I'm dead.

Other than that I'll be playing it for a long time. :)

Those instant nades are awesome :D

And each map has its own pwnage weapon.
 
The touch-and-go-boom grenades are awesome, if you hold G and die, you drop the grenade on your dead body. Some poor fool walks over your body to get the health pick-up only to die instantly.
 
Installing now...granted, I own FEAR CD's, 5 cd's is just way to hard to install with when you can download it. :(

The Penetrator isn't really a fun weapon either to use or get fired upon. I say about 70% of my deaths have been because of the Penetrator. Meh.
It would be more fun if people used either RPL or the shotgun, the battles gets more intense then and much more fun imo.

That did happen to me when I played yesterday. I was about to throw a grenade at an enemy I saw across a hallway. He killed me just as my grenade fell to the ground. He ran up to me to collect my health vial and ammo just as the grenade went off resulting in him getting blown to bits with a giant red cloud of blood floating in the sky while my corpse ragdolled a few feet. That was hilarious to watch. :E
Funny enough my character also said "What a mess!" while I was… dead.
 
I might have already said F.E.A.R was crap in my opinion but this MP experience is just awesome :D
 
The multiplayer is awsome with friends on a private server and ventrilo on or in a lan party. I Don't even play in public servers anymore, after seeing two looser****tards with speedhack I gave up on the public servers.

Has anyone else noted that the hit boxes or what ever seem to lag like hell? I mean you can run like 5m behind the corner and the enemy will still kill you. Unless the weapons penetrate concrete walls like paper.

As for the weapons I'm already hating the anal penetrator Have Viagra gun. Seems way too overpowered.

One thing that disturbs me is the size of some maps. Since the speed in which you move in this game isn't so fast it makes the big maps kind of anoying. You have to run like 100 kilometers just to find out that theres a guy who has a conrete cast in his ass making him unable to move and just camp with the railgun.

To sum it up. MP is awsome with friends!
