Got it today, realy f*cking intense game. But I'm stuck and since I don't realy like walkthroughs I decided to ask for help. I'm in the office place and the fat, ugle, engineer guy told me to turn on the security system. I did and then he f*cked off somewhere and now I'm supposed to find the network HUB to reset it because that guy was too fat and lazy to do it. But I keep going around in circles. Can someone help please (no spoilers please)

You do realize that the only difference between using a walkthrough and asking for help is that using a walkthrough would probably be easier and save you a lot more time

I went through that bit earlier today, can't remember the exact steps though. I don't remember having any trouble with that part. There's a screen somewhere with an activate button, that's all I remember. The only walkthrough I know off is the gamespot one, which is EXTREMELY lacking in details.

Edit: Does anyone else thing the fat engineer looks like Gabe Newell?

I can't remember. He was extremly ugly and I think he had red hair.

I'm thinking about getting F.E.A.R, but is it one of those games (like system shock 2) that I would just give up on cos I would be too terrified to keep playing ?

Unlike System Shock 2, the shooting is fun.

yes, hitting mutants in dungarees with a wrench got a bit boring after a while.

Don't worry about that in this this game. The combat so f*cking intense.

Yes, the real difference is that the walkthrough has maps ;)

You'll hate him more later, I promise :p

Lol true, he’s really a fat bastard. ;)
But I felt sorry for him in the end actually. :x

I think you have to go back to a place you have been before, but I'm not sure.

One of those metal gates must have opened near by if you just flipped a switc hor turned something on.

Haha, I felt sorry for him too, but anyway, you're going to want to, to turn on the HUB I mean, look for a crap load of switches, one in the end takes a couple more seconds than the rest which are just pushing buttons, if I remember correctly, there are 6? Ah whatever.

It's in a place that looks like it's full of servers, and it's on one of them. The only real button in the place. Not too hard to find.
