nobody played the damn thing after a few weeks, it sucked badly.

It was quite good actually, but it had some bugs.. And without a big enough fanbase, even a good game will flop. Hell, with a big enough fan base an utterly shite game can do quite well.

^^^^ yes the singleplayer is worth it, and for that cheap price definitly. I bought the game when it was $50 USD and it was worth every cent. I don't usually buy full price games unless I really think they're worth it and F.E.A.R. is definitly one of those games

Absolutely. It's still the best FPS I've ever played, by far. 95% of people absolutely loved it. A few (Samon) didn't.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I didn't think it was that good. The ending sequence is pretty damn awesome though.
