F.E.A.R. vs. Quake IV

In its first review by PC Gamer (US), FEAR got a score of 92%.

So did Doom 3, more or less. I'll reserve judgement for the time being.

i want both except neither of them will run particularly well considering my current system.
i am a fan of SP's so obviously im more excited about the SP than the MP even tho MP is probably what will have to carry these games if the game devs want them to reach even half of what CS's status is today.

same I have always gone by PC gamer...they are the best, most respected mag out there..(though I think they were a bit of hl2 fanboys)

Fits right in with my psyche then.

I voted DOD:S by the way, but I'd play F.E.A.R. long before Q4/

I just have a feeling Quake IV is going to flop like Doom 3 did. So I'm going to go with a rock solid game I KNOW I'm gonna love...FEAR.

I'm still mad at the fear demo I just got my 6600GT and now a game comes out and destroys my card. It's the only game so far I havent been able to play at max or close to max settings at a decent fps.

Get over it, 6600GT, my friend has a 6600GT from eVGA and he plays it at 1280 x 960 with max settings AA0x and AF16x with above 45 FPS, if he can do that, you can do it, now imagine turning down some minor settings, you can easily get over 55'ish, so you shouldn't be bummed.
