Fable 2 Fighting Demo

what? it wasnt a cut scene or animation ...all real time fighting using the enviroment ..I've always wanted to kick a chair at an onrushing guy while in a bar brawl (there's usually no chair in sight in RL)

Yikes. Way too early to tell just about anything. Some good ideas that will hopefully not be cut out at the last minute...:|

Fable 2 done right could be the greatest RPG ever. Fable 1 was awesome, even though it came up short in alot of aspects.

EDIT: Jedi skillz are impressive.

I just couldnt get into fable ..too much on rails for my taste ..the ideas were good and the characters/world fleshed out nicely but it was just lacking somehow ..it just didnt seem rpg enough ..especially since it was so linear

That looked great. My only reservation is that much of the control seems to be taken away from the player in favour of a context sensitive action button that choses for you. Still, the fight was awesome :)

Molyneux said it's not Fable 2, just has models that are reminiscent of Fable. And this is clearly an animation, not real time.

ya well I couldnt hear what was said (at work, no sound) ..I'm going by the title the website gave the video

Okay so basically what that was... in terms of gameplay.

"We'll allow the player to press an action button that utilizes a series of loosely scripted events to give the illusion that the player has some control over his enviroment and fighting with it."

Seems VERY meh.

I'm confused; is it Fable 2 or not?
Either way, I suspect the appearance of snakes.

The idea sounds very cool. Kinda like Shenmue, even better. That'd be a hell of a game. Molyneux is a big fan of Zelda and combining that with Shenmue...you could have one hell of a game. Hopefully with better voice acting.

The day Peter gets his ideas properly put in a video game will be a great day for all of us.

He is very ambitious.

It sounded uninteresting, almost as if it were just about mashing one context sensitive key. However, it made me think of Power Stone (<3), which did this kind of stuff a while ago, but with full control of your actions.

Molyneux is stupid.. he promises so much in his games and they ALWAYS come up short..

Except for the timeless, classic games which are adored by 1000's and helped make video gaming what it is today. I'll admit he hasn't been on form of late, but to disregard him offhand is stupid.
