Well, todays the day (that teddy bears have thier picnic)! THe game is here! I'm picking up my copy later today....


so for those of you who already have it! what is it like!
 
WTF? It's not out here 'till 10th October!!! I hate these non-simultaneous releases. Makes everyone who live outside North America feel like an afterthought.
 
I prefer a picinic with the teddy bears

fable looks good, think I'll rent it before buying.
 
The Sims 2 today too... :)


God, I wish I was in Kansas City today... those stores have it... not here yet, though. :hmph:

Im getting the 3 day delivery deal from gamespot. Should I expect it Thursday or Friday?
 
so I've played it a bit, didn't have too much time. Finished all my training, now i'm a card carrying Hero. :)
 
Well after waiting in a 45 person long line since 815 at gamestop I have mine....going to play now Ill be back with a little insight in a bit. :smoking:

You'd think that the fact that I work at a game store would ensure I would get a copy before anyone else. Too bad it hasn't shipped today.

I guess I'll get it tomarrow, but I may have to consider switching companies.
 
played it a bit more :) Good fun. I'm still pale and skinny, but I now have a crazy sherrif's mustache witch looks awsome :p
It's really a ton of fun. Definitly a different kind of rpg, but a good thing, imo.

Nah, its just a logical conclusion. I havent played it. Thus I can say it sucks. I havent proven to myself it is good. And since I have to buy an Xbox, that sucks to. And to get that, I have to go out, and that sucks even more. Hell I even have to get up from my chair, and that is more than I am willing to do for the game that *might* suck like I think it does at the moment.

Thus, it sucks :rolling:

Can you grow facial hair? or is that only something you can add on when you make your char

you can "collect" cards for haircuts and stuff, and you can goto a barbershop and get your hair, sideburns, beard, mustache, etc.
 
I've played for around 4 hours so far and I'm having a blast. I haven't even tried hitting on the ladies or anything. I'm not rich enough yet to start buying houses etc...but I've been moving along in the story some.

I'm 3 or 4 notches towards the evil side. Every so often when people get in my way I'll knock 'em around a bit or just kill them.

I have dark leather armor and I look cool :) Using an obsidian cleaver right now. I've only run into 2 predicaments - 1. I have 2 augmentation stones I would like to use...but I'm not sure how common they'll be in the rest of the game so I don't want to spend them on a weapon I'll replace quickly. 2. I can't find the Bandit Camp I'm supposed to locate. I've searched for quite a while now :(
 
Finally got the game. I was having fun as a kid just going around kicking chickens. Now that I'm in my adulthood, people make fun of me, calling me "Chicken Chaser." I get made fun of in real life enough, and now the video game does it to me! ;)

I plan to get it in a few days, gonna trade in all my games at Gamestop and buy Fable and preorder some games.
 
I'm 1 notch towards good, although my guy is kinda pale :(
I'm running about with a steel longsword that I augmented with a flame stone, so now it's really pimp. :)

edit: I also have gotten some random chicks to have the full heart over thier head, and they keep bothering me about getting them a ring. Does anyone know if the game will let my dude knock them up without springing for a rock?
 
****! **** **** ****! I have been stuck in one part for 2 hours, has anyone doen the "Find the Bandit Seeress" quest or whatever it is called?

Alright, my XBOX is very old. I bought it the day it was released and it's one of those that has the crappy Phillips DVD drive. I've had my fair share of dirty disc errors in games before, although when games are running, they run totally fine. Even brand new games. No problems with Burnout 3 for instance, that game runs VERY well. Again, I've had dirty disc errors due to the Phillips drive, but never any framerate issue/jerkiness etc.

That said, Fable runs like shit. It is constantly jerking, almost like there's something wrong with the RAM. The framerate is horrible, probably like 10 FPS in some scenes. It's seriously almost unplayable. No dirty disc error though. The performance is just very bad. I've never experienced this with my XBOX before. Anyone else have similar issues?
 
yesterday i played for like 3 hours, game locked up on me 3-4 times, but other than that its great fun so far..
 
I played it for 5 hours yeserday, worked perfect the whole time with the Thompson drive(the new one, whatever it is called).
