its basically this little program on facebook that allows you to draw pictures with different sizes/colors/tones and you can share them with other facebook users, the idea being that they look like graffiti, but few actually make real graffiti drawings with it.

Thanks, but all you have to do is work at it. anyone can draw, it just takes practice. But i would definitely suggest buying a tablet cause I've done all of these with my mouse and its quite a pain in the posterior.

Man, this one took like three hours

Why don't you invest that kind of time into using a piece of software that doesn't enforce such strict guidelines such as canvas size and the amount of tools and colours on hand? I'm not sure what the gimmick of using a step-up from MS Paint is when you could just download Gimp for free and have a much less linear experience.

Because it's a test of skill, numbnuts.

It's like using DS Painter. Obviously I could use photoshop, but I want to use DS Painter.

Besides. I'd never do shit like this if I had an application like Photoshop or GIMP. I'd stick to my own style, which is... cool... but boring. It's great to experiment.

Exactly, obviously if I really wanted to draw House to the best of my abilities, I could use a simple pencil and paper or a reliable program, but this isn't about how good it can look, doing this was about the fact that I had these constrictions and still drew it well, with a mouse mind you. It makes it more fun, more interesting to draw.

I see things like ''man, this took me 3 hours'' and think ''no shit, you're using a shitty web application''. I was trying to make your artistic experience a little better and easier, but if it's experimentation you want then be my guest, I can totally dig that. I kind thought this thread was a bit ZOMG FACEBOOK GRAFFITI LOOK.

On the other hand, I'll go right out and say it that no matter if you copied a fantastic drawing line for line into Facebook graffiti I'd still think it would look like ass. Experimentation is fantastic, but I personally wouldn't even be able to get past one drawing I did myself in this application before I said ''yeah, this is enough - time to move onto Gimp, but I'll still keep the same size canvas.'' That's just me, though. Everyone's different, so if this is what you like then keep at it. Maybe you'll be bringing Facebook graffiti into the light and you'll be the Bansky of online forums.

(I should note that I'm pretty sure it's called Facebook graffiti because you can ''paint up'' peoples online walls, whereas real graffiti is much more free and expressive form of art and is best kept as far as possible from the cold, stale and accurate confines of the computer.)

People can make awesome shit with this stuff.

Also, you may not have noticed - on graffiti you can hit a 'replay button' whenever you view the graphic from within graffiti. It shows a brief animation of how the thing was drawn. This is awesome.

I'd like to enjoy them if the subject matter wasn't so boring or stale for each one, but I just generally loathe the brush effects and marks I'm seeing. I see potential that might of been better off in another programe, but again I'm not a fan of cars and pandas so it's really a personal preference.

Actually, the flower would of been quite nice if it wasn't for the green circles in the background.

Antipop shows us how a master dodges The Point so well that he appears to not even be aware of its existence. I feel enlightened.

whenever i try adding the application it just stays there on the email confirmation page. and i haven't gotten an email yet

When The Point isn't included in the original post, and is later tacked on half-arsedly onto the end of someone elses explanation, then yeah, pretty much.

OK look guys, you need to stop taking this so personal and serious. All I wanted to do was show these pictures to get some feedback because I respect a lot of the good artists on this forum and want to learn. That's the point. Antipop, i know we sort of bashed you about the whole better app thing, you had a good point and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you.

everyone, please continue sending your graffiti though, it looks great

I don't feel offended, though I do rather feel I've been a bit of a bastard and OTT so I apologize for crashing this thread. Carry on.

My friend sent me this-

To which I naturally responded-
