Faceposer crash when loading model

I've seen many similar problems where faceposer and model viewer crash on startup.

For me, model viewer works perfectly, and faceposer works almost normally UNTIL I load a model.
It crashes with the "faceposer has encountered a problem and needs to close ..." message.

I've tried changing resolution, etc. But I think the main problem is my video driver. Mine IS listed in dxsupport, but has a line that says "Unsupported 1". And it doesn't include a "DefaultRes" line.

My graphics driver is quite old and slow, so I could explain why it would be a cause (though model viewer works fine). I just need some clarification.

There was a time when model viewer would crash if opened with a resolution of 1440x900, but thats been resolved. I honestly don't know why Face Poser would be shutting down.

i heard it doesn't work for some vista/xp 64-bit users - don't know about win7
