I'm not shure if there's already a post. Sorry if there is. I've been using GMOD 10 to test this. Objects in my game fade away when you get far away. Small objects are not even visible unless i'm really up close (say, a paper bill. I need to stand right next to it and crouch to see it). My graphic card's not good at all (It plays the game lag free, but no water reflections, ect.), but is there any way to bypass this with the graphic card that i'm using??

I have a *gulp* Nvidia Geforce Mx 4000 :(

Yeah, I need to upgrade.

The engine automatically fades objects when you get far from them with your graphics card.

The only solution i know is to upgrade, sorry to say i can't be of more help.

I get the fading effect but I couldnt care less about it. But yeah, upgrade ^^

Well, sometimes you can force the objects to be viewed from afar aswell, but that's only if the engine does it for a stronger card. Your GeForce 4 is pretty damn weak :p

I'll try to find the console command, brb

EDIT: Try this: r_propsmaxdist 8000 (or more if they don't show up)

Nah don't worry. I'm planning for a whole new PC all together.

Until you get your new comp, try this.

r_screenfademaxsize 0
r_screenfademinsize 0

and this,
r_drawdetailprops 1
cl_detaildist 1600
cl_detailfade 800

Hope this helps!
