If any of you like a good story, triller with some paronormal added in, this game is for you. Its hard to explain what the game really is. David (The person who wrote it) explains when you start the game. Its a story driven adventure which you play it, and it chances depending on what you do.

For example. You start off as a man called Lucus, who has been taken over by somthing, and murdered another man, he comes back to himself afterwards having not remembed anything about what he did. You take controll and you need to keep him alive, out of jail and figer out what has happaned.

When I first played I went right out of the door, Lucus ran out in a panic (There is a "Panic meter" and hit the waitress, who turned around to notice the blood over Lucus's arms, so I had to flee.

The second time I played it, I washed the blood off, hid the weapon and body, cleaned the floor and paid the food bill. This gave him time to leave without trouble, only after awhile was the body found.

Like I said, you REALLY need to play it to understand what the hell Im on about. The demo is on fileplanet.. it includes the trailer for it which made me drool. I want this game NOW.

Yeah, I've read about this one.

Sounds cool. I'll download the demo and play it tommorow.

EDIT: Why did you call the thread "Farenheit"? The game is called "Indigo Prophecy."

This looks really cool, if it plays well, then I will totally buy it. Kinda reminds me of Max Payne, and if its anything as good, then it should be ace!

Is it just the demo or the full version thats out?

P.S: The game is called Fahrenheit in the UK/AUS&NZ and Indigo Prophecy everywhere else

I think it has potential to be a decent game. It's got some cool ideas, like the multi-camera, but I hope the demo hasn't done it justice. I didn't see any real use of the stress level in the demo, which is a shame, since it seems to be one of the game's selling points. Also, interactions are somewhat limited, for example I was able to clean the blood in the middle of the floor, but not the trail leading to the stall. Also, where the option to rob the place or take hostages or what not? Regardless of whether I would choose that path, I think it should still be there.

The poilceman wouldnt bother to look at the stall if there was NO trace at all, having him go there and randomly look into the shall with the body in it would be abit cack.

Sparta, the full game comes out in september.

Just downloaded the demo and will give it a try when I get home. I've read a few things about this, and it's intrigued me. But given Ataris habit of throwing away opportunities, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Adventure game? I love adventure games!

/me downloads

I downloaded the Indigo Prophecy(Fahrenheit)demo last night and it took a couple of minutes to get used to the control scheme, but now I am hugely into it! If the demo is anything to go by, this game should breath more life into a genre that has largely been seen as a dying one of late.

The demo is rather short, but offers some interesting opportunites for experimentation, though I agree that the stress level wasn't a huge factor in it. Perhaps in a later demo if that is planned. The only thing I am nervous about is the action sequences on the PC, since this is coming out for the xbox and ps2 also. I wonder how the controls will work, but still, I wouldn't even think of getting this on a console.

Its scheduled to ship to stores on September 6th.

Just tried the demo; I'm very impressed :D

Will definately be getting this when it's released. Love this sort of game, Atari have done well by the looks of the demo!

Glad to see it ran well on this machine: AMD 1.24GHz & 512 RAM & Geforce Ti 128 Card

yeah its cool, i just played the 1st little bit in the toillet, controls are rather fiddly it seems, movement i mean, the cop caught me in the restroom coz i couldnt get kane out the door, the icon kept disappearing, great music and voice talent, cool cutscenes using the game engine, definately will keep an eye on this...

also the director of the game at the start telling you how to play, how cool was that?

That was sweet! When it came for me to play I forgot I was watching something in a game, and not actually watching a movie! :D

what ending to your story did you get? spoilers just incase:

i cleaned up the bathroom and kane and hid the body, then went out and sat down in one of the booths where a meal was, i ate a bit and drank, then lift some cash, i tried to ring marcus but got a message, the game then went splitscreen as the cop found the body, i ran outside and found a taxi, then i was taken home supposedly and the demo ended.

is that it? gona try and explore outside more....

I hid the knife, hid the body, mopped the floor, washed face and hands, left, went to run out and the waitress told me to stop cos I hadn't paid the bill, it was a great tense moment that I didn't experience on another run though, and then ran to the cab.

A bit different to yours :D

This game is gonna be awesome!!!1

Oh and...

"i tried to ring marcus but got a message" <<< I didn't do this, is there a phone in the restaurant then?

yeah outside the restroom to your right on the wall....

I read about this in the PC Gamer. It sounded so cool. I am getting this demo now!

That made me laugh at the informality of it :p

That was a lot of fun! Had no idea about this game which made it more cool.

You can take the tube home too

I'll definately be getting this! It's graphically poor (as it's s direct port by the look of it), but it is too interesting to miss out on! A supernatural max payne feel to it.

How do you mop the floor? Everytime I pick the mop up, he just puts the mop on the blood and then puts the mop back. No mopping action.

Yea the demo is pretty good
i think ill get this game

You move the mouse up and down, this will clean the floor.

This is the "best" ending I could get.

I cleaned blood from me, I also used the drying fan but it didnt do anything. I then removed the body and cleaned the floor. I took the knife and hid it. Exiting the bathroom.

I walked to my table, ate and drank, then looked at the coffee on the table, then paid my bill. After that I used the jukebox which lowed my stress levels then exited the building and got a taxi out.

I WANT THIS GAME.

I second that.
Looks like this game could easily revive the adventure game genre.

With this, and Dreamfall coming out this year hopefully Adventure games will make a fantastic return.

sequel to The Longest Journey. Another kickass adventure game, with a great storyline too

Awesome demo, had loads of fun trying it over and over again, although I don't think there's an alternate ending...

Maybe if you can get all good stress relievers then you'll get a tiny difference in ending. If you walk out the bar from the back you can talk to the homeless guy who ends up at the ending everytime, although he doesn't have anything to say. It's obvious he's the one controlling the "murderer". I like this game because if you think something can happen or function, it will.

really? i thought the homeless guy was gona be blamed for the murder as you see him at the end, also you dont see where kane hides the knife, maybe he throws it out the window, where the bum is, or maybe showing the bum at the end is a hint that hes a witness as you haveto play the detectives aswell remember, prolly why we arent shown where the knife is hidden, dunno, i tried different ways of doing it,

i decided just to walk out straight away, you bump into the waitress who screams coz of the blood on you, then kane runs outside, and the waitress tells the cop, the cop then finds the body and you get the default ''i need you all to stay here folks'' etc.

there seems no way of covering up the murder altogether, the cop always finds the blood stain leading to the bog.

you can also talk to the cop at the diner wheres hes sitting, kane will tell him theres beeen a murder in the restroom but get freaked and started blabbering that he didnt do it, you're anxiety then goes up, the cop tells you to relax, lol

i also got caught outside by a squadcar who stopped me

but like you said theres no alternate ending it seems other than you getting caught which is disappointing, the director said try to play the scene different ways, i was hoping you could cover the murder up altogether, oh well...

i also read if you dont pay the bill and run out the waitress will remember you when the detectives come yet if you pay the bill and walk out non-chalant she wont remember you...

Just tried the demo, it is really an awesome game, didn´t knew that an adventure game could be so intense, I really like it and I think I am gonna buy it. (or wish it for my birthday, 14 sep.)

with the mouse.

move the mouse in the direction of the context sensitive actions white line, so for washing your hands, move it to the right, the red dot is basically your crosshair in theses actions, you should see a small red dot in the actions small window....

I dunno... Viewed the trailer and thought it looked pretty meh. I'm downloading the demo though, hopefully resulting in a change of opinion. Omikron was a great game and I have faith in the developers.
