Fahrenheit.

whats everyones best score in the demo, mine is 95%, im not sure if 100% is possible..

i got it by:
hiding body
cleaning blood
hide knife
getting coin outta the dispenser, after you examine move the mouse left & right and kane will start hitting it dislodging a coin
washing hands
looking in the mirror
eating food
drink
pay for meal
examine coffee
play song
walk out
escape

there is also an alternate ending or kinda, if you do really bad, ie get lotsa -, when kane is caught his speech will be slightly different and when finished his speech you will see him on the floor of a mental asylum...

Eh, where does it give you a score? Every time I finish I get the retry or finish options, no summery.

Played the demo.
Very interesting story and very well directed cutscenes.

Hm.. Going to need to play it again to get the thrown in the mental place ending.. I guess its just do everthing wrong, only clean blood off before exiting (Or you finsh right there) talk to the police guy, try to exit without paying..

While I was browsing the latest demos I saw a screenshot for this game and I thought "meh". But after going back and looking at the ratings that people have given it, plus the positive comments in this thread, I think I'm going to download it right now. I'll post MO in a while. :)

With an intriguing name like Indigo Prophecy it will attract thinking gamers, which (lets be honest) are the only kind that will get any enjoyment from it. Not that Farenheit isn't a good name, it's just that it's already been used quite publicly in America already and therefore would end up carrying the associated baggage.
Nah "Indigo Prophecy" just sounds like another one of those baselessly pretentious titles that doesn't mean anything whatsoever and is trying to sound all spooky and mysterious.
Farenheit is far more straightforward, modern and unbound by pretention. You'd get a film called Farenheit, but you'd be far les likely to get a film called Indigo Prophecy, and it'd have to be extremely good to pull off such a poncy title. Not that it won't be good, but... Yeah well.

Oh yeah, as an aside: The animations are superb, but my particular favourite is when he violently grabs the mop and puts on the most serious vitriolic expression the world has ever known. Grrrrrr!

Yeah I did that. Basically you need to wash, try to get out the window, talk to everyone, including the waitress. Leave without trying to pay your meal, but don't react at the door. Ring your brother. And try to get behind the counter. It was the counter thingy that pushed my guy other the edge.

Wanna know what would be awesome? Is if the story didn't just 'end' with some of these things, like if he gets caught with the body.

Perhaps he could be taken to court, and you could try to give convincing testomony, and if you get acquitted, then well you get freed, but if you get convicted, you go to jail where you spend your time avoiding inmates and others as you think of a way to escape and continue the rest of the game.

This game could be sooo awesome if that kind of stuff was added.

This is the type of game where 'mods', instead of completely changing stuff, could be added that add huge, vast amounts of extra storyline plots.

The escape from prison idea's cool - Splinter Cell stylee, but with more puzzles - but courtroom acquittal would be horrendously dreary and then the adventure sort of WOULD end there because what's the point in him trying to escape or be on the run if he's acquitted? His part of the story ends there, and seeing as the detective's part is supposed to be catching him...

That would be cool but hard to turn into a game I would think.

If they add mod support, then it would be really cool, you could make loads of different outcomes to stuff.

Meh... the court thing could be short. Though, the court could just be a cinematic, and the prison part being where the game continues.

Either that, or he finds a way to sneak out of the courthouse before his trial on the day of it, by stabbing a well dressed client or lawyer or something and taking their clothes. The guards in court houses usually check people coming in, not people going out ;) THey had a "The Practice" Episode about this, and it was pretty cool. The guy was taken to the waiting room, and while the attorney was doing something else, the client stabbed the guard with a pair of scissors, then when the attorney came in(the guy was already dressed in nice clothes, after spending his trial in prison jumper), she saw the body, and the guy used the guards gun to keep her captive until she escorted him out of the build at gunpoint, where he promptly took a taxi. Later in the trial, he was found not guilty, and everybody was shocked. heh.

I looked at the first set of screenshots but stopped after that as I was already getting ideas about the plot. I don't want to ruin this one, it really does look good.

Am I the only one who cant figure out how to move the guy into the bathroom stall?

NVM figured it out

I know how to move him, but I dont get the controls on how to do it. At first I was just trying to hit the left/right key in accordance to which one was lit up on screen, but it just went real slow, then when I ignored the icons and just tapped left/right as quickly as I could he went a lot faster. But then in the article it says "players have to quickly match directions with both analog sticks as they light up." I dont get why I do better when not even looking at the thing.

You need to click and move the mouse in the direction it shows at the top of the game/screen.

One of my last posts(still lingering for the rest of the day probably, just to help people out. heh).

What they speak of I think, is a whole different control scheme we havent experienced in the demo. On the screenshots, I noticed an entirely different graphic representation that we havent seen yet.

Matrix anyone?

Watch the teaser trailer, it also seems like the matrix.
Matrix Adventure game, man, this game looks cool though.
Ok, I know that was a lot, but I got to give the people who haven't seen the teaser trailer an idea. This game is an adventure game too. I'd imagine it's also going to be one of those low budget games... I can only hope!
EDIT: To check status, hit right ctrl. He means the Mental Status too.

I also thinks that Lucas got a little hint of Neo over him.

15 days to the release of this game. I havent been this excited since half life 2.
This is the type of game ive wanted to play for ages. Its concept is amazing.

You ll actually be able to play this game how you , yourself , would act in that scenerio.

Completely pointless post, but im excited.

(is there a way to skip the intro in the demo?)

Hey I just thought about something. Maybe this old bum is actually Odin. I looked it up on wikipedia: "He (Odin) was said to travel the world disguised as an old man with a staff, one-eyed, grey-bearded and wearing a wide-brimmed hat."
Ok not all things fit but the one-eyedness does.
There is also this crow or raven at the window. Odin has two ravens which are called "Huginn and Muninn". Maybe Odin is somehow involved in this.

Had a look; he's the "Lord of Fury", which may have something to do with you, the main character, killing people.

:D Can't wait for this game! :p

Heh, I kept seeing ths Fahrenheit thread but somehow haven't bothered to check it out.

Now I've downloaded the demo and am quite impressed :) I'll consider getting this game.

BTW, the engine looks like the one from Max Payne 1.

So, when is this game released...? I saw some footage on this game on G4TechTV. I was like," WOW!" I saw this thread, now I am currently downloading the demo.

Check this out: it seems like the screens from the game in beta stage. Quite ugly.

Yeah, without the intro, you can beat it in like 1 minute. You immediately exit the toilet, run into the waitress and before the cop gets to you, you run out of the diner and to the taxi.

I can record a speedrun if you want

I want to try new ways!

I have an unregistered copy of fraps so it limits me to 30 seconds. Anyway, after those 30seconds I'm at the point you see the taxi and getting to it takes like 10 more seconds. Check it out if you want, I do exactly as I said.

It looks almost the same, but now they put the grainy filter on it.
You could have taken the train on the speedrun. It's much closer and faster. Also, running out isn't a good idea. The game would practically end right there. :p

woah! I didn't even know there's a train; where is it?
and the colors are completely different on the screenshots.
