the 20th of September, and i must say...great demo, im looking forward to this more then fear
 
I, too, can't wait for this title, but am a little saddened due to the deletion of some of the content (the "adult" content) for the US release. Here is what is altered:

- some characters originally naked have underwear
- all sexy scenes have a fade to black before their end
- one interactive love scene is not in the US version

What is so mindless about this is that the content that is being dropped so that the game gets an "M" rating instead of the financial-spoiler "AO" rating is just nudity and sex--two perfectly normal and natural things. Nevermind the unholy, twisted violence and devilry going on in the game as well--that's not adult content at all, but nipples? Protect the children! Even though most of us were raised on them. Nice double standard.

What sort of a message does this send our global community? Graphic violence is more acceptable to the US than the human form in its natural state. Explains a lot actually I guess :|
 
No, because its shunned people will do it more often... since they arnt supposed to. If I said "dont touch" a lot of people would touch it. If you were allowed to, it wouldnt be fun so nobody would touch it. In this way, perhaps this is encouraging sex over violence hmmm?

I actually dont believe that, but it is possible, and another way of looking at things.

Oh and the sept 20 release... is that for the UK or US version? Or will it be simultaneous?

It was the 9th of September for the UK but all the websites are saying 16th of September. So I assume it's changed by a week.
 
Sept. 16 for the EU and 20th for the US I believe.

And all this sexual repression can't be healthy can it? The rest of the world gets it that if you don't strictly forbid things, people simply don't abuse them as much. Prohibition didn't work out all that well for US, but we still encourage this sort of thing with the current laws that we have. The US is great in many ways, but severely lacking in many others...ugh.

Still, can't wait for this one!

The demo had my jaw on the floor. I was initially panicking so I took every precaution possible, but too late. The policeman walked in whilst I was scrubbing the floor.

The second time I decided to do the basics. Hide the body and wash hands. But as I was on the way out, the waitress pointed out I hadn't paid my bill.

Third time lucky. I just washed my hands, paid the bill and sprinted out the fire exit :D Long before the policeman even felt his bladder need relief.
 
Gah, I could've sworn it was slated for the 7th in the UK, but now it's the 16th! Gaah!

The demo was short but really cool. Did the numpad work in place of the mouse for you guys? It wasn't working for me. I thought that the numpad would replace having to click and hold in a direction for an action. At first I was annoyed but got used to it. I kept starting the action but accidently cancelling it.

I like what I see and plan to pick it up sometime after release (I have a GC coming with like 6 games to play on it so I can wait).
 
I got it today in the post from Gameplay, a day early I think.

Anyway, loving it so far. It's great when your investigating the murder, but will have to play some more to make a better judgement.

yeh I received it today, so far really good, investigating the murder scence..cant find the knife though ;( (I hid it when i played the murder).
 
Yeah, I had the same problem. So i started again and made the knife obvious :D Theres some real heart in mouth moments, and some parts are just really hard. I mean, the choices you have to make are so tough and 'chilling' sometimes.
 
EDIT: NM, I'll just get the NA version. I thought there was more missing from the game than some sex scene.
 
Ok I found the knife, I just completed the part in the policestation, the game is getting really good now and intruiguing. Im using it to entertain myself till Black and White 2.
Hint for finding the knife...check the toilets.
 
I will check the toilets on a rerun, but man, this game is getting so good. The story is really becoming deep and involving, and I like the way you get to control two characters, and the split screen action is really sweet. Like watching a movie sometimes.

In various places in Europe (correct me if I'm wrong) but it doesn't come out 'till the 20th in the US. The US version is slightly different because there's some sex scene cut out or something. Oh well.
 
Yeah, there's a sex scene where you've got to control the "up and down" movement ;)

About the demo.
Anyone took a drink twice at the diner, Kane will say something like this to himself. "Coffee...? I don't drink Coffee... someone else must of been with me" Then a lil' cutscene happens.
 
Just finished it. Been doing nothing else all day but playing it. It's rather fun.

Fine, fine. I think my first play through lasted about 8 hours. But I may go back and play it again and see what happens if I do it differently.

Well, i'm getting the game anyways.
 
The Demo was very awesome. Definetly worth the $50.
 
Very wierd and cool. I've only played it through once. It sucks that I want to do it again but have to go through the cinematic again.
