Fan question

So I have a 8800gt 512mb, I changed the fan speed to 70%. Does it do any bad, for some reason, to have it set at 70% at all times, even when I'm not using the computer? D:

It will use slightly more power, but more importantly, it will wear out the fan faster.

Anyway, it should last a while, and with the frequent upgrades people seem to get, I doubt it will wear out before you upgrade.

anyway, a replacement fan would be more efficient and quieter anyway, so go ahead and kill it IMO.

The best thing to do is program the fan to increase speed when your card begins to heat up. There are free programs that do just that.
