You may have already seen this, but its a video of a guy being chased and using Parkour to escape.

Click for video (7.7 MB)

It seems they've started turning simple stunts and show offs into really cool short movies.

Btw, parkour aka 'free-running' is a french word, it is a sport involving jumping and climbing etc on roof tops and buildings.

That's amazing, thanks for that.

I thought free running was cool enough anyway :P

Bloody hell. Funnily enough, I actually know someone who's a freerunner-in-training; they can already flip off walls but they can't do shit like that.

Pretty cool, but I've seen a video with more/better free-running in it, but it didn't have a plot or anything... T'was on big-boys somewhere.

That was sweet.

I like the part where he goes through the little window above the door.

That was really cool. I'd do that stuff if I woudln't break my ankles/everything else in the proccess :(

I perform this type of stuff at work

Yeah, the days at the supermarket checkout can get pretty crazy....... :D heh heh heh

Loved the jump through the window at the top of the door early on.

*if* thats the video I think it is (Do they try break down a door at the start? - if so its allready on my hard disk :P) then its from a french made film staring free runners.

Anyway, yeah... its sooo damn cool. I'm trying to learn some of this... well something similar anyway. I just wish it would get sunny allready!

Yeah, doing that sort of thing would be pretty cool, as long as you don't die :(

Lucky he knew where everything was going to be before seeing it, and there was just by chance a rope and a ladder.

Oh and that basically goes against everything Parkour is about..

Way to piss on the fire.

Aw, thanks guys :o If I'd known someone was filming me I would have added a few more tricks and smiled for the camera.

.
.
:(

It's from a movie, I've seen it in the cinema. I don't remember the french title but it basically meant "The 13th District". The guy that's being chased is David Belle - the father of Le Parkour.

Parkour is awesome, but it's nothing about tricking and showing off.

It's about flowing free, like water, jumping and climbing every obstacle.

Thank you, Sensei. I will float like leaf on the river of life.

Which is why I said I was doing something similar :P.

I'm doing tricking. I've done martial arts for ages... I want something to show off with. :p

Yeah... its vain. But I like it! :D

Very sweet. That stuff is quite difficult, but in real life, if you're in danger, you can do some pretty crazy shit. I was in boston once, and these guys started threatening me in a sketchy area... I hightailed it out of there, and in the process did some pretty crazy stuff. Nothing anywhere near that cool, just jumping down stairs and stuff, but it still was kinda crazy.

I was going to make fun of it but when he made that douche bag fall onto the car I was like

Your avatar is hypnotizing me... I think I'm going to watch it :O

I always wanted to start parkour, but for us suburb upperclass, theres not much oppertunity.
