Playing this for 360 just cause I'm an achievement whore.

My pc is a little bit over the recommended, I could play crysis on high pretty smoothly.
Hope FC2 will work even better :D

I should probably put the effort in to finish FarCry at some point, but meh! Either way, the requirements for this don't look that bad :p

fook you Crytek, I hate you and your "tech demo" games

The games not made by Crytek, nor does it use the Crytek engine. It's using an in house engine developed by Ubisoft themselves.

Personally, I've got the specs for this, but there are so many good games coming out in the latter part of this year, that I think I might have to wait until this one hits the bargain bins tbh, good as it looks.

Still I dont care, anything rytek reltaed in someway is hated upon me.... I was forced to upgrade my PC few years ago for FarCry and it blew up... ?700 gone!! Sine then Ive vowed to hate and boycot anything Crytek related

Far Cry 2 isn't being made by Crytek and doesn't even use their engine.

Hopefully i am set on Medium.

Intel C2D T7700 @ 2.4 Ghz
2 GB DDR2 667
2600 XT :frown::frown:

That didn't look too bad...good thing I can make it just a bit :D

My computer will defenitely run it but I still need to upgrade to get good performance out of the games I'm buying this fall.

Well, you're in luck, because now, for an unlimited-time offer, you will be able to buy Far Cry 2, a game that has virtually no affiliation with the developer Crytek in any way, shape, or form!

:rolling:

Looks like my processor's out of date. Yay...

Phew, was worried about this, but it seems I have all the recommended stuff. Yay!

I'm afraid to create a new thread since this is pretty old, I didn't see this one here on hl2.net, so I figured I'd post it.
It's an interview on the buddy system of Far Cry 2 plus screens.

I'm pretty sure I haven't seen these yet.

I'll enjoy this one on high settings. Suck it you bunch of slags.

I don't see what the big stink is. Everytime I read up on systems it is always considered "mid-range" and my mid-range system comes in between the minimum and reccomended specs.

After Crysis- this actually seems like an improvement in terms of people being able to play it.

I am hoping the game is good.

Well looks like it will run good on my rig.

I have:

Nvidia 8800 GTS
Intel Penium 3.2 GHz dual core
2 Gb RAM

Idk if I can run it or not, basically because I've been out of the hardware loop for so long I'm not sure if I'm in the minimum or the recommended. I've got:

AMD FX-57
ATI X1900 XT
2 GB RAM

I really don't have much intention of playing it but I'd like to know if I'm still in the loop or if its time to upgrade again.

You should be able to play it easily in software mode. Here some software mode gameplay footage.

If this trend keeps up, I won't have to upgrade for another 5 years :D
