Everything about this game is amazing except for the following:

1) Random crashes to desktop with no apparent cause or resolution, thanks for the support ubisoft.
2) The hundreds of other glitches and bugs that affect countless players, some of which I will likely suffer first hand later on in the game. Heard about the glitch that makes all your saved games corrupt?
3) Total lack of model damage decals.... even half-life 2 successfully achieved this many years ago. Any such effect has been replaced with a ridiculous looking cartooney blood splat.
Poor form. I wouldn't actually mind so much if the game WASNT RATED A ****ING 18!! I got IDed when buying it, half-life 2 seems more realistic in terms of violence compared to far cry. Why???
4) The graphics at night time look like absolute horse shit. (After said horse has eaten its own shit and proceeded to shit it back out again. That's horse shit SQUARED, bitches)
Again, it wouldn't be such a big deal but the graphics during the daytime is brilliant!
However, during night time I'm presented with the shittiest looking dull textured moon I've ever had the misfortune to witness in a modern video game.
All they had to do is make the moon a minor light source in the game, like the sun. And there you go, you have a cool looking moon and something that reflects off water at night time looking pretty.
5) The fact that if I had pirated this game like most of the internet, I'd still suffer from the same shitty bugs etc except I would tolerate it.

Despite all this, I will continue to play through it, it seems like a pretty big game in terms of total playable hours, but this can be attributed to the bullshit amount of time it takes to get anywhere in the game without getting the shit blown out of you.

What the **** is this shit? Seriously. The people responsible for this moon should find a fire to crawl into and die.

We used to have a gigantic 60+ page thread on this game. Its somewhere in the depths of this forum.

Oh, and this thread will quickly go to hell.

I liked it well enough. The main feature that appealed to me was truly being able to tackle the situations in a variety of ways (all down to the weapon loadout basically).

What I didn't like was the superfluous padding. There was only one mission in that game, "Drive there and kill everyone." Occasionally it was given a slight twist with "destroy that" or "bring that back". After they designed the map, the missions were literally just a matter of setting waypoints and defining ending parameters. You can basically just pull up the map, pick any random compound, drive there, kill everything ... and there's a mission.

I still enjoyed it though, the core gameplay was good enough to carry the total lack of mission design for the most part, although it became a bit of a chore towards the end. A little bit more creativity and a lot less driving would have made it ****ing incredible.

I played the pc version with a trainer that had Godmode all weapons unlocked all diamonds no car damage it was lots of fun.

one of the most boring games i've ever played. after about 3 hours, when the graphics and technology behind the game lost their novelty, i finally realized i was doing the same shit over and over and over and over and over.

Funny the moon doesn't look like that at all for me in the 360 version, it's glowing and has a sort of yellow-white colour to it. It's purty on the 360 version anyway.

The gameplay and graphics were good. The actual missions and environment were not. What's the point in a sandbox game if there's nothing really to sandbox? I'd much rather see some civilians and see some consequences of your actions. And maybe air vehicles too.

And where the **** are the animals? It's Africa.

Too small in scope for such a large game. I'd have got as much enjoyment out of playing the demo as I did out of the full product.

God dammit Ubi!!!!

What kind of geek forum is this? 13 posts and not one person has said: "That's no moon!". It's back to the academy for all of you.

its the definition of ****ing REPETITIVE

i bought it a month ago, played till the second map then said
**** this shit, im trading it in as soon as.

Funny thing is, it DID have blood decals, but they were only visible for a split second before vanishing. Why they even bothered including them if you can't even notice it is beyond me.

Actually, that honor goes to Dead Space. Can't be arsed finding a screenie, but you'll probably know if you've seen it. Worse than the Zelda one, even (also is it just me or have they re-used that teeth texture on like a million different Nintendo creatures?).

There must be a console command to make them last longer? at least 30 seconds
