Far Cry: Instincts

Such an awesome game. Got it for the xbox 360 last week and I still haven't completed it even though I've been playing quite a bit. It's hard but in a fun way, because you can keep doing the same section over and over again but try different ways of tackling it. And it's got the good old mindless FPS storyline, with the scientists and experiments and mercenaries and so on, but this only makes it more fun. I got this instead of Prey, and I'm really glad I did. In my opinion, it's one of the best newish FPS's out there. Anybody else played it?

I've played Instincts on the XB1, but I think instincts on the 360 also includes the sequel, Evolution.. Anyway, yeah it's a great game, better than the original Far Cry imo..

Yeah, I got pretty far on my friends Xbox version. Hella repetative game, it seems that over every hill or behind every forest area theres a small encampment of wooden huts, one of which happens to be missing a few floorboards and has two soldiers discussing mission plans in, but I kept on playing it regardless and I thought it was a pretty fun game. I got to the part where your in the dark and the small creatures are attacking you. You meet the girl then she disapears.

I think this was Instincts anyway.

The game is complete trash! Probably the worst aiming ever for a console FPS and the achievements are retarded. 80 hours of multiplayer? **** that - maybe if it was decent enough to play once in a while.

Great game, loved it. Alot better than Far cry. Better story, gameplay, level design and so on and so forth. I've got it on the 360 and the aiming is horrendous, so I had to stick auto aim on. Otherwise, it would be virtually impossible.

Evolutions was kind of a stepdown in terms of quality.

Auto aim didn't even help it enough, but the crosshair did take up like half the screen.

I played the first Farcry game for the PC and liked it. I'm sure the others are good too. Just console versions. :X
The Wii's version will be interesting with the aiming and new content.

Only real upgrade is the water and it gets old pretty quick.

Wait, Instincts is different from the PC Far Cry? I thought it was just a poor-man's port of the game.

Does it still have those obnoxious mutants?

Instincts is an totally new game. A better game. Sure, it has mutants - but these are actually fun to play against.

I haven't played Evolution yet, you have to complete Instincts first. I hear it's not as good, though.

No, it isn't. Story is stupid and somewhat pointless. Levels are larger, but due to this change they lose the focus and the detail.
