Cool... Must install Far Cry again. :E

Ack!...what the hell did the guy do to the guardian?...looks like a plastic figurine now.

I guess it's a good thing I actually have my own copy now (came with my Athlon64 3500+) instead of playing it at someone else's house.

Far Cry's good...it was inevitable it was gunna have good mods eventually...it is an amazing engine afterall.

I don't want to wait for the fuxing good mods to come out... but it looks like I have to now! Gee, THANKS MOD COMMUNITY >: ( lol jk

Eew... Doom 3's Guardian gets Far Cry's plastic coating!

But atleast he's got room to stretch his legs now ;)

Wow, all the vehicles that are going to be released for Far Cry are going to be excellent !
Pity Doom 3 can't handle vehicles ...... :p

err.. the vehicle code is going to be released with the SDK, so modders can make vehicles. (I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic)

No, I meant Doom 3 can't handle vehicles because it can't draw outdoor maps without serious laggy gameplay/fps. Far Cry is optimised to draw outdoor maps really well, while Doom 3 is designed for indoor maps.

IMO, Doom 3 modder's should stick to indoor maps, and Far Cry modder's should stick to (huge) outdoor maps ... :)

Erm.. have you PLAYED Doom 3? The outdoor environments are very large and run just fine. Take in example the opening of Hell, that was *HUGE*.

Also, if you've ever noclipped outside when going through the monorail..

The engine, even in it's D3 iteration, can handle large outdoor environments with ease.

This is true.

Doom 3 can handle very massive enviorments, its todays hardware that can't handle it. thats why if you look at the Unreal 3 engine enviorments, the outside screenshots dont look as nice at the city screenies or inside buildings. the monoral scene BTW: was amazingly nice looking. i've noclipped in a few place outside, they normal map and use real time lighting even on the ouside parts you can't see.

To bad they took to long for the sdk release. I was expecting a lot of Farcry mods. :(

Yeah i'm over Far Cry and its mods. I'm losing interest in PC Gaming in general. I think i'm turning into more of a console fan then a computer fan

I'd of given up on computer gaming long ago if it wasn't for CS.. without CS, I'd not be anticipating HL2 like I am, lol, simply because PC FPS would seem dull to me

Console gaming is dull to me these days.. most games are.. it makes me sad ;(
