just started download, how does it look compared to the previous videos? also, have you recieved the beta yet ?

They're sending the beta e-mails from the 22nd onwards.
 
Wonder what effect the sniperrifle will have on mp. What I've heard and seen in this trailer is that you can zoom in for quite some distance. You would be practically invincible when you're a sniper :|
 
Is the game set on the one (very lush) island?
 
cool, that video looks pretty awsome. i think they've been focusing o bit more on the physics side of things. the vehicles looks incredible.

and yeah, looks great, although the ending with that monster is pretty weird/stupid/out of place
 
I've got my gripes with the game but overall that video was very impressive
 
shuzer, far cry is all about getting stranded on an island, were u meet some scientist guy doing weird genetics experiments.you then spend the game trying to stop him. that is why the monster thing was there. also in an edge magazine from early this year, there was a model of some guy in a hazmat suit. and there might have been a zombie or something too, but im not sure about that.[p.s. not sure why the army are there either.]
 
everything looked cool until that monster thing at the end. what a waste. and i thought it would be an awesome game without having to resort to hokey stuff like mutations etc. i understand they were doing experiements etc, but gah, always happens to the best of em. should still be a great game though, will just probably have a B grade story.

its supposed to.... the game is all tongue in cheek, and supposed to be like a b movie. i.e. all over the top e.t.c.

For signing up is the 18th, not the actual beta itself. At least, I hope.
 
Yes Abom, you r right. By the way the forum's skin looks great but so tight (small) I mean the width is so small.

Yeah, Munro did a great job. I kinda like the small width somewhat, makes it a bit more original from the other generic forums out there.
 
Wow, I seriously want this beta. THis is the first beta I have ever signed up for, so I am psyched. My machine can handle it and I live in the US so maybe I will get it. *crosses fingers*
 
Yeah..this video is just a lower quality version of the other one that was posted yesterday (I think). Very cool though. I hope that monster sorta guy with the mini-gun is the only kah-razy experiment they did...but I have a feeling it isn't. Ah well...still can't wait for the game.

I can see a sweet Predator mod coming from the FarCry engine. I wonder how well the game will support mods...

well, what can I really say except that the game looks great. Great looking indoor and outdoor environments, fun physics, huge tropical island, AI looks good, and multiplayer.

Should be a blast :cool: .
 
I have just creamed in my pants watching that trailer. I hope I get chosen for the beta testing.
 
LOL..my friend was watching it for the first 45 seconds like....what's so cool about this..then it went to the guy in first person throwing the grenade... he said, "Holy shit! This is all ingame stuff?"

EDIT: I pray...that I get in the beta..I signed me and my suitemate up...so hopefully one of us gets it :)
 
Hey, I'd just like to thank those of you that told me about it being encoded with DivX in the other thread that was posted yesterday. Turns out that mine was, indeed, erroneous... I even had to boot up in safe mode to fix it.

Anyway, now that I can SEE it, yeah, it does look pretty cool!

wow...that game is awesome looking....why does the sign up end on 18th.....do they need more people??? or somethin?
