Faster FireFox

speeds up a bit, not too bad, the initial load things works great though, thanks :D

Uh really, at least for me. My IE always was crawling as a bitch, however when I switched to Firefox everything became much faster. Plus now I don’t have as much spyware as I did with IE.

P.S. Are you the same guy with hilarious avatar of a rat? Haha, idiots from HL2world sure are angry that you didn't let them steal a book.
 
Well I just tried both opera and firefox...and to tell the truth they ain't much better than IE.

Firefox took longer to load and the speed wasn't any faster.I'm just gonna stick with IE for now.

IE is like it stopped evolving in 1997 while all the browsers were getting better and better
 
No...no I'm not.I didn't notice not one damn diffrence in speed.Hell IE opened faster than both for me. :|

I don't even use most of the features they include in both.

Well everyone just loves to point out that IE is part of windows

So in that respect, IE takes as long as windows to startup, then it just sits in memory, hence the quicker loading.

Anyways thats besides the point, IE is shite, FF is much nicer.

I use Maxthon which uses the IE core but its safe as houses and certainly doesnt crawl. Personally I just cant get into firefox, just doesnt feel right.

Yeah Im the snitch, I dont see why I should pay for the book and they shouldnt >/

Well...like I said, not much diffrence in speed.Nor do I use most of the extra "cool" features they have in FF or Op.

ie starts a wee bit faster but you must open a different window for each site you want to open while on other browsers you just open tabs
 
not sure if it made it faster since it was almost instant before anyway.
 
That's funny, Opera doesn't need anything to speed it up.

Opera:Mozilla::Mozilla:Internet Explorer

It's that simple.

After using Mozilla all day, im going back to IE
Its just faster...
 
Three cheers for the eternal beauty of Firefox. It just gets better and better.

Using IE now makes my soul hurt.

IE was always slower than Firefox for me...tabbed browsing and pop-up blocking are god-sends. :)

I'm still surprised how well FF blocks popups. Before I had to use another popup stopper and even then it was more annoying than useful, and didn't work for everything.

And with the right filters for adblock 90% of the time it'll just automatically block them. It's great :D Wish I hadn't put off moving to it for so long, would have made the porn searching easier/quicker... ;)

ok opera is not free (those damn ads) but its really cheap and if you leave in a carton and don`t have money for it there is always the *cough* legal *cough* way

Why you shouldn't use these settings..copied from another site:

a: These settings violate the HTTP protocol, and give you a speed boost by flooding the web server with 20-something connections for every single image and page request. There's a reason that they're not the default.

These settings will not only cause many web servers to have problems, but they can also make your web browser be mistaken for a flood attack, which will make the server add your IP to an "ignore" list. Stay away from these "optimized" settings, unless you know exactly what they do and how they work.
