A local man could spend the rest of his life behind bars after police say he admitted to raping his 7-week-old daughter.

Joseph Sorah, 34, was sitting in a Clermont County jail cell Wednesday night on a half million dollar bond. He faces one count of rape and one count of endangering children.

Friends of the family called for a life squad last Thursday, because the infant was vomiting uncontrollably. She was rushed to Children's Hospital, where doctors detected several abnormalities from patterns of abuse.

The baby's mother said her husband told her he abused the infant on four different occasions.

"I'm sick over it," said Shannon Sorah, the infant's mother. "Sick, disgusted, angry."

The charges against the Milford man have outraged prosecutors who plan to take the case to the grand jury next week.

"It's disgust, it's revulsion really of what takes place here, and really a thought of how could a human being do this to another human being," said Woody Breyer, Assistant Clermont County Prosecutor. "You'd be prosecuted for doing this to an animal."

The baby was at Children's Hospital as of late Wednesday night, where she was said to be healing from her injuries.

Actually, I think it's better if he doesn't get the penalty- that way, he gets to rot in prison for the rest of his life, thinking about what he has done.

Well 'at least' some people see the disgusting, vile act that this is and want severe punishment for the man. I'm sorry to say I never see the same thing from guys who rape adult women.

And its also a bit sad... the week before they are born, some people don't even think of them as people or having rights... 7 weeks down the line however, they are defending them more than they are adult victims of equal awful crimes.

I think they should all be punished to the full extent of the law. Rape is an awful crime against humanity, and stems from the darkest corners of human nature.

I don't think rape should get the death penalty (murder should) but he should be in there for life.

HOWEVER NOT SOLITARY. I guarantee you the other prisoners will try to 'right this wrong' any further way they can ;o
