My favorite evo, along with the real AMS evo that runs 9.92 with street tune. My friend might be going to race him with his 2.4L GSX to race him. He wants to prove dsm's are still better than evos ;)

A cylinder layout shaped like a W is proven to save substantial space, the vr6 fits in the space of a 4cyl, and the w8 fits in the space of a v6 :thumbsup:

And before this gets into a battle of what car is best, don't even bother. Especially over the internet and ESPECIALLY since the majority of you guys don't have cars, and among the few that do, there's even less who have them modified. So don't start bringing up all this "my friend with his 2400awhp skyline is the shizzle yo!"

And if you have any questions about what is the best, look at f1 because it is absolutely without a doubt the pinnacle of everything car related (that's on asphalt). Even the slowest f1's run 9's in the 1/4 mile and all of them can pull upwards of 2 g's in the corners and even more while braking.

Proton is a Malaysian company, that bought Lotus in an attempt to save it from going bust, the problem is that the managment expect too much from the small amount of people there.

Take my dad for example, his area is supposed to be making doors, hes supposed to have 50 people but hes got 10, the people in charge of Lotus... just suck, they fire a bunch of people then expect the remaining employees to make more cars than before.

In 1975 Collin Gyenes ran a 10.3 in the 1/4 with a VW rabbit engine (4cyl EIGHT valve) With no carburetors, no nitrous, and no turbo or supercharger.

So basically, what you just said was that one of the best cars from the factory, after 25,000$ for the car and after over 13,000$ worth of modifications is only 1 second faster than a 20 yr old vw with fwd?

Who cares if a VW is cheaper......Its still cheaper to get AMS's Package then buying a Corvette or Viper. I'm sure you watched the black Evo race that procharged z06, I'm sorry but I'd go with the evo before the vette, not to mention stuff for the ls6 isn't cheap, so I've learned from my friend. That guy with the z06 dumped at least $20-30,000 into his car, thats a $100,000 or so car, where hes much closer to the expense of "supercars."

Oh and that setup has ran low 10's before. Just depends on the driver.

Bang for your Buck. And since the vw didn't have AWD, 16 valves, or a turbo, and was probably less expensive. I'd say it was the better bang, even if it was .7 seconds or whatever slower. :cheers:

It all comes down to what people like in cars, in how they want to mod it. I'd spend the 13k on the evo to make it that fast because I love the car.
 
Hell I wouldn't care if it's a domestic or import. As long as the car is light, fast, and the interior is nice.

I still want a 3rd gen rx7.

Ninja ZX-10R 86 MPH in first gear, speed limiter on at 186. Redlines at 14500 RPMs.

I'll stick with my 03 mustang gt :D. Might get it supercharged someday. Gotta get the pounding stereo in it first tho :D
 
yea, but the bike will lose in the corners

the post was about super cars ... sorry but I dont consider the evo, and even to some point the corvette, and 'common' porsches as super cars, as each of those cars are easly attainable.

Lancer Evolution RS starts at 28.5k with 276 hp and 19/26 mpg
Lancer Evolution MR starts at 35.5k with 285 hp and 19/26 mpg
Corvette starts at 44.6k with 400hp and 18/28 mpg
Corvette Z06 starts at 65.8k with 505 hp and 16/26 mpg
Porsche 911 starts at 69.3k with 325 hp and 18/26 mpg
Porsche 911 Turbo S starts at 131.4 with 444hp and 15/22 mpg

I think the z06 and 911 turbo s are deffinatly in the super car class, but since they have cheaper siblings that pulls out of the class of being true super cars
 
Those are the american version, the MR FQ400 is only in UK and maybe Japan. The British built it, its basically all HKS parts for an evo.

it still starts lfe as 30k car it doesnt matter what tuner touches it still doesnt make it a super car. Good car yes, hell of a performer yes, but not a super car.

do a search for an '02 ZL1 Camaro the can be found for 100k, but just because somebody is charging that doesnt make it a super car, and just because a tuner moded a car to 450+hp NA that still doesnt make the car a super car.
 
Lol, the only "Supercar" I know is from that 1 old TV Show of that car that can go Mach 3, into Outer Space, and go Underwater.
And was modeled for FS98 and FS2000. :)

Actually, my favorite cars are the Laborgini Diablo from NFS2SE, that can go 210MPH. And my dream car, the Pontaic Firebird from NFS4. :cool:

I classify supercars by their ability around the tracks, lambo got out handled by the Evo. Its not 30k either its about 70 grand.

You need to watch topgear then. I am no liar. And I'm not a little evo happy, you wouldn't know whats under the hood anyways, and what its capable of.

I saw that show! It had this car that went like...240 mph max but he only got it to 174? Something. It had cool opening doors
