i found out while listining to "the cage" (melbourne radio show) that "mcallife (spelling) tonight" was canned by channal nine.

anyone living in australia should know the show.

apparently Mr channal nine (kerry packer) had it in for him and on last monday's episode when he was talking to dave o'neil, dave was making fun of ricky martin, who was backstage at the time, ricky took it as a joke as was intended but kerry seemed to think he was offending a high profile guest which was in his eyes, a good reason for canning the show.

Makeing fun of guests was always one of the highlights of the show along with shaun's high horse and his unique sence of humor.

anyway after this mornings upset i just thought what were show that were canned that you enjoyed.

a few of mine are

(the above odviosly)
Family guy (cast broke up)
futurama (canned)
the mick malloy show (another victem of kerrys rage)
 
i know, such a good show, someone at fox should be fired for that one
 
i collect em on dvd though,

season 3 out in sept! (for australia)

But hey, now Fox has super new show which will go on forever and ever, it's called American Idol 3, bunch of crap for simple minded folks and Hollywood (not much of a difference).
TV is boring in America, we have so many channels here, but most of that stuff is garbage. At least we still got Adult Swim and Comedy Channel (some shows are funny).

Reality shows suck. I can imagine the idea might have worked in the 1950's or something but 2003? Come on. Now like 50% of all TV programming has been replaced by American Idol, Survivor, and at least 50 dating-based shows. And since millions people actually watch them it's kinda scary.

The whole thing reminds me of Requiem for a Dream - "I said we got winner .. WE GOT A WINNER!!"
 
Where I live all those shows are still on.

Mind you im in Canada so its completely different and i'll shut up now.
 
Family guy owned, it was so unique. I do watch the shows on cartoon network, but i think im going to buy the dvds.
 
Like on the first ep when the giant talking jar of juice smashes thru the court room wall all like "YEAH!"

And I'm like :|

*3 seconds later* Many laffs. Good stuff.
 
Family Guy is one of the funniest shows ever, I've got all 3 series on DVD.
 
I miss family guy that show was hilarious, i still don't understand why it was cancelled... I have the season 1 and 2 dvds and i've watched them all like 50 times man i wish i could get some new episodes
 
Get your hands on series 3 and watch for some of the comments about G.W. Bush. That's why it was cancelled.
 
the best show ever to be cancelled was sifl and olly, the maxx and aeon flux come in tied for second
 
I can't find series 3 anywhere... hmmm yeah fox must be owned by the bush family

Family Guy
Mystery Science Theater 3000
 
I miss Look Around You!!! Come back... it may have only been 10 minutes long, and at 9.50, but it was the most origanal show on TV for ages..... bring it back ;(

No i dont remember that.

But Monkey Dust is GREAT.
 
I miss Seinfeld... but new episodes would prolly ruin it anyway.

...but i guess that classes as being cancled

i love the one where he makes his own country Petoria and his "cant touch me" rip off of mc hammers song. lol again and again :cheese:

Futurama seams to get released in US last (dont ask me why) europe get em first, then aus, then america. same with simpsons dvds
 
I miss Futurama alot. ;(

Shows that I would like to see come back but would probably be ruined if they did:

1. Seinfeld
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
3. Fresh Prince of Bel Air
4. Family matters
 
Tv shows does not create violence in sociaty.

TMNT is still on, its just had a face lift.

Fresh Prince wasnt cancelled, the story finished.

TMNT is STILL on!??!?!?! I knew it had a face lift a few years back. Last I saw it I could hardly recognize it as the same show. What network is it on?

As for Fresh Prince, ya I know the story finished but it would still be cool to see new shows. Although it won't happen, the cast has all moved on now.
 
I never saw the ending of that... :(.... and now BBC is repeating them all from the beginning.... seriously, does no-one remember Look Around You?

They had thats shitty live action show which was the next mutation with the PC female turtle. :rolleyes: But they also amde a new cartoon last year, it plays on fox kids, pretty cool show, alot more like the comics.

If youre in England it plays on sunday mornings on ITV too.

The australian abc cancled fly tv, a whole channal! that i loved

great music and a funny as mexican soap opera (it was for digital tv only)

F**king government run chanal thinks they can push us around, i aughta sue but its the australian gov so theyed kick my ass in court or have me secretly killed off.

OMG! Its so different from the first few seasons of the original TMNT. I still have the VERY first episode on VHS and watch it every once in awhile.

I remeber it, I never really liked it though and if I remember correctly it used to be on just before something I would regularly watch and I just thought it was weird. Mind you, at first I thought that about the office and wow, that program rules.
 
Invader Zim was a good show that got canned. It was on nickelodeon but managed to attract a lot of older fans. It was made by the same guy who did the Johnny the Homicidal maniac Comics, Jhonen Vasquez.

It was about an alien named Zim who was trying to conquer earth. He was a paranoid schizo and manged to fail very often.

Favorite set of lines from the show
Zim-You there! You're full of organs aren't you?
Random boy-Why yes, yes I am
Zim-*begins laughing meglomaniacly
Random boy-*Joins in the laughter*
 
Wait is Sponge Bob Square Pants being cancelled or is it just a rumor? If it is cancelled I'm gona kill somebody.

I cant believe you talked about Zim without mentioning Gir:flame:
 
I couldn't care less about Futurama... never saw Invader Zim... I wouldn't mind seeing The Family Guy come back... but I want my Undergrads!
... only one season (13 episodes) and it was dropped due to low ratings... because MTV ran it at 2AM.
 
Oh yes how could i forget. Invader zim also featured Gir, a mentally unstable robot with an obsession over tacitos and dancing like a monkey
