You know that's not how ordered lists work? You can't have 6 or whatever 2's, then some 3's.

Anyway

I forgot to mention

X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter

as one of the legends and favorites. Best space shooter ever imo, though X-Wing Alliance is similar enough and has a single player plot beyond become the best pilot on your faction.

Q4 isn't that bad but it's not very good either. I'm a quake fan and I was very disappointed with it. However I think it's better then Doom III. If your interested in the multiplayer then I suggest you go back to Quake III or wait for ETQW.

I can't say Q3 mp is better. I do like it more, but quak4 generally makes more sense. I'm talking about lag and hit detection. That's pretty good in q4. But more people should play the game. There aren't many servers with players in them (and have a good ping).

Its not the worst thing you can do with your money, there is alot worse out there. But it isn't good, infact it borderlines on average most of the time. Meh, I thought it was pretty bad.

I think I may spare myself the torture of seeing another classic being shoddily done so...First Worms, then Sensible Soccer and then Micro MAchines ;(

What is Dungeon Keeper? I've heard of it and played it once, but I think I was too young to "get it." But alot of people say its great...

Me and Samon agree on a game OMG! The world is ending.

Only thing in q4 i liked where the boss fights.

Dear god. But even then, I thought the bosses were pretty bad as well. I though we'd moved on from hulking beasts that you needed to plug all your ammo into?

Dungeon Keep 1 & 2 were two great games made by Bullfrog (Syndicate, Populous, Magic Carpet etc).

You assume the role of an evil bastard and set about creating a dungeon. The better the dungeon is the more creatures you attract to it - e.g. make a nice torture chamber and you get these wicked dominatrix type women in skin tight leather turning up. You have to keep everyone happy and fed etc - usual micro management type stuff - or they start to leave. You can also set up various traps.

Eventually hero types will break into your dungeon and start trying to trash everything. This is where the number of creatures you have, the way the dungeon is laid out, and the traps you have come into play. You get to imprison people, torture them for info, and make sacrifices to the evil gods. In no. 2 you can even posses one of your creatures and play in first person (it's fun being a fire breathing beasty and roasting knights). There's also competing dungeons you can trash as well as some run by the good guys.

They really are great games, and dying for an update.

Great game - Basically you are an evil lord with a "base" or dungeon...You aim to attract minions to do your bidding, train them up, research spells and traps and finally invade other dungeons and kill heroes!

Ok, I didn't make it sounds great but it was!!!

EDIT: ^ He made it sounds better ^ Though you can posess in DK1 as well.
It's PROBABLY around as Abandonware at this stage...surely...

I still have my original snes cart, and I played through the rom recently for kicks.

A new Cybernator would pwn.

In that same vein, Axelay, Gradius III, Metal Combat could use an update.

That sounds like great fun :) I'll go haxor it...

Bah can only get the second game as Underdogs got taken down or something.

I can pm you a really good site for roms, no ads or "voting", just downloading roms. That is it. Only Nintendo and SNES, though..

If it has Super Mario RPG, hook me up. I've been pheaning for it ever since my cart was stolen, years ago. :/

Really short trip, but the ride is worth it.

The first site I mentioned does have a whole bunch of Super Mario games.. In fact, I just finished downloading Super Mario RPG, just started it on my PSP..

PM-ing...

That's strange. There is SMRPG music playing at the top. o_o

Perhaps this is destiny...

Yea, I think they just got SMRPG in last week..

But sir, you put it as one of your top 10 games of all time.

Maybe he's only played 10 games of all time.
lol.gif

1. Jagged Alliance 2
2. Goldeneye (Keenly awaiting the next release of Goldeneye: Source)
3. Dungeon Keeper 2 (The knowledge that DK3 will never be released saddens me)
4. Half-Life
5. Grim Fandango
6. Ground Control
7. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel (I havent played enough of fallout 1&2 to judge them properly)
8. Command & Conquer
9. Street Fighter 2
10. Sonic 2 & Knuckles.

Farcry would have made the list but its ending battles and sequence kind of ruined it for me. And the fact that they havent released a PC sequil or expansion pack.
