So what?

One Shot, One Kill. Awesome last minutes!

Chernobyl, they got that place right. I recognized the swimming baths, the ferris wheel, all that stuff in Pripyat. It was pretty amazing, they really did a great job portraying this truly dead area, the lack of saturation in the environment, the whole abandoned but not destroyed feel... It was pretty amazing.

o yea i loved the Chernobyl part. that was the best. the others were typical middle-eastern battles so it was meh.

Chernobyl sniper mission FTW. Especially the part with the .50 cal. That was by far the most innovative mission in the game, which eventually degenerated into a shoot-em-up venture that grew more tedious with each mission.

Chernobyl definitely but I was most surprised by the secret end mission because I had no idea it was coming hence it being a secret end mission.

I really enjoyed War Pig...I love a good urban combat battle, so that really had me happy :) I like when the T-72 rounds the corner and the Abrams just blows it away through the building...

sniper and apache mission.

played apache level like 10 times now.

The first mission on the boat was good. I loved the rush getting out of the sinking ship at the end.

Ghillies in the Mist, totally atmospheric. I didn't much like One Shot, One Kill, if only because it's over all too quick (which is strange for a CoD game).

Mile High Club gets close second, just cause it was so Rainbow 6.

did they really need to add the part where you walk around after the nuke goes off??
also i just remembered the part where you are the gunner in the plane!!

I loved all the Marines missions, The Bog and War Pig inparticular, I kinda prefer the grunt missions but my overall fav was 'All Ghillied Up', god that level was atmospheric, I replayed it loads too, after you dart through the roadblock to the apartment I decided to take on the hind with the stingers at the top of the apartment building, I took it out and then killed every guard from the transport column, was fun.

I tried taking on the patrol( with the unlimited ammo cheat) too, the one where you have to crawl through the grass but Macmillan always runs away so dies. You can blow up each APC easily enough with only a few nades each.

Heat was quite intense too.

I enjoyed the first Marine mission quite a lot for all the breach/room clearing parts, and the street fighting, and also quite enjoyed the last level where you have to land in the city and help the pinned down platoon. Then rescueing the pilot from the downed gunship was well intense with all the rounds going off behind you. Ending to that level was awesome, too.

All Ghillied Up and One Shot, One Kill are stunners n' all, and the first proper SAS mission. It's a shame the rest of the SAS missions during the first half of the game are all quite similar with the locations.

Still all fun, though.

All Ghillied Up. That was a brilliantly executed mission. As mentioned, the atmosphere was top notch, and the part in the long grass with the tanks and infantry is the first time in a long time I've said "Oh shit oh shit oh shit" at a game.

The most amazing and unexpected thing I have ever seen in a game was the part where you are walking around after the nuke goes off. That was truly one of the most intensely engaging portions of a game I have EVER played. Incredible on a whole number of levels. Brilliant.

Agreed, great, great scene.

Apache? You mean the KC130? Do you really expect an apache to have 125mm artillery shells? :)

Do you really expect a normal person to know that?

Sniper mission and the mission where you are the gunner on whatever aircraft you're in. Two awesome, and original experiences in gaming.

Sniper mission, before and after the actual sniping part. :p

Loved sneaking around and then escaping.

I'd say Chernobyl as well. But the last sequence was very annoying.

I crawled through the whole sequence :| I was like "wow, this is awesome but for how much longer will I have to move with the speed of a snail?".

I learned that you could stand up about a day later while talking with my bro about the game.

Chernobyl. More specifically the part where you're crawling through the long grass, narrowly avoiding being caught by the a huge army with tanks and hundreds of infantry literally a few inches away from you.

The AC-130 Spectre gunship level owned simply because its based on a real video from Afghanistan.

WARNING: - the vid is quite graphic and its the video that the CoD4 death from above mission was based on. There are also some extraordinary parallels between the two... see if you can spot them :p

The first time I loaded the aftermath of the nuke, I just sat there in the helo the whole time, lol....

That means you died a peaceful death without painfully trying to get out of the heli and trying to walk. Congratulations.

Last mission, I believe it was called Escape.

Loved firing my RPG at the heli while traveling at high speeds

Chernobyl was the best part of the game, the part before the dash to the ferris wheel

However that drive-thru cutscene at the beginning of the game is the greatest at the moment, the HL1 tram ride has been knocked down to second (hoping either Ep3 or BMS will rekindle my joy of it)

I watched a history channel show on life after people, and they went on a tour of Pripyat as an example. Throughout that part I kept going "hey I recognized that from CoD4!" I think its cool that the developers went through the trouble to get the details right.

The Chernobyl level of course, but I really loved the nuke going off, it was so unexpected and looked so great. Although the first SAS mission was truly cinematic and when followed by the intro in the car made for one helluva start for a game.
Also, I would just like to say that Price totally stole the thunder for the whole game. Awesome character.

What makes it even better is that Price in CoD4 is identical to Price in CoD1. Both british, both moustache'd, and both in the SAS. This means the bastard is about a hundred years old, like some ancient wanderer cursed to serve in the armies of England forever, and that's badass.

Nonsense, he's nothing like Price in CoD1. For one, he's not a twat. And he's obviously inherited the moustasche from his father, who got it from his father before him and kept it in a box along with all his medals until it was time to pass it along.

Look, I know he's a lot darker, maybe more cynical, but you'd be pissed off too if you'd lived through the entire 20th century.

Weeeell... the sixties would probably mellow me out a bit but I guess Thatcher would bring all the horrors of war and betrayal back on me like a spunge in the face. Although he must have worked on his accent over the years, he doesn't sound like average clich?ed spitfire-pilot #31 any more. Tally ho chaps!

Or maybe they just played STALKER? ;)
