name a few of your favorite alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks!

screwdriver.jpg

I'd say it was one of my first, and best ever and I still may stick by it but, the Screwdriver is delicious and I'm about to serve one up right now. I have OJ and Ice, and I'm going to add 4 shots to the glass. its a shame i don't have a cherry though. also i love those Irish Car bombs, and Rum and Cokes are good. Has anyone tried a White Russian (saw it on the Big Labowski)

As far as non alcoholic, I love root beer floats, but there are too many to list.

so how bout yous?

Billionth Drink thread of HL2.net

Gimme some Cider and I'll be happy.

When I drink it's either shots, a whiskey/rum and coke or vodka/rum with fruit juice/clear soda. Hot damn in some hot apple cider is damn nice on a cold day though.

One of these

With one of these next to them, taking alternate sips. Pure HEAVEN

Oh but no ice in it, ****ing heathens.

Non alcoholic: Sprite is basically water for me. I also live on an awesome South American tea called mate which keeps me feeling vibrant.

Alcoholic: Stouts, bitters, ales, some lagers - pilseners and the like, whiskey and good vodka, cus bad vodka is ****ing horrific. I've rarely ever tried any cocktails, I mostly stick to what I know unless someone else is buying.

Edit: +1 on the Guinness, two empty cans next to me as I type. Murpheys is also totally respectable, cheaper alternative if you can find it.

diet coke

I'm also fond of wine.

jim beam, jager for the most part. if i'm feeling cheap, i'll make do with tinnys of something stock - fosters, bud, whatever. down in falmouth at my favourite pubs, it's pints of doom bar, knocker or a cider, usually stowford press or gold.

i've yet to find the ''perfect'' drink, though. something that i'll always go for like. when i'm out at a pub or going someplace to have a drink, it largely depends on my mood. i'm looking forward to the day i find a bottle of something meaningful.

As far as wine goes, Pinot Grigio is my favorite, its delicious, tastes a bit tangy and hits the spot. first bottle i had, my friends and i downed it like water. it was the most relaxing drinking experience ever.

Several cocktails supplied by Suite that are, for obvious reasons, closely guarded secrets. These include The Dame (orange, lemon, egg white, vermouth, vodka, Cointreau, XXXXXX, ??????, mint[???]) and some bizarre concoction I had last night with milk, egg white, tabasco, a touch of whiskey, rum, cinnamon, nutmeg, ???.

Also whiskey when I'm feeling self-destructive, absinthe when I'm playing tunes, gin when I'm chilling, rum if things need to get rowdy.

In terms of beers, I'll never pass up Tiger, Sapporo, Coopers, Stella Artois, local pilsener, local cider. New Zealand is also one of the best wine producers in the world, so I'll drink whatever I get given and enjoy the shit out of it.

For non-alcoholic beverations, I enjoy the occasional energy drink when I'm waste, aloe drink, green tea, any of the juices produced by local organic companies. Hardly ever soft drinks, to be honest. Because, you know, I'm not 12.

Abominations - RTDs, Jaeger/Vodka mixed with Red Bull (in fact Jaeger is just wrong on many, many levels), beers that can be bought for less than a dollar each, cask wine.

Sapporo, Stella Artois, and Red Baron for me, as far as beer goes. Wine... as long as it's red and doesn't taste like vinegar, I'll appreciate it.

Soda. Preferably something fruity like Fanta...
But there are plenty of drinks at the world of coca-cola that I can't remember the names of....

Lilt's a good one. I hardly ever buy it but I always reminisce about how delicious it is when conversation turns to soft drinks.

lol @ kids in teh thread.

Gimme some New Belgium beer and I'm set.

So i had my screwdriver and it was delicious but I need to be a social drinker again. it was 10000 times more fun doing stupid shit in public

Drinking alone ****ing sucks. I greatly dislike it, up to where I lose social inhibition, at which point I begin enjoying my lonely alcoholic buzz. I'm beginning to think my social inhibition is really just a deep-set personality inhibition. It's just nice to lose it every once in a while. But I shan't be drinking alone much more. I don't want my tolerance to skyrocket, plus substance abuse isn't cool, guys.

[edit] Why did I even post this. Also screwdrivers are delicious. I don't care how sharp they taste; anything that is predominantly orange juice is immediately delectable to me.

Vernors
Creme Soda
Root Beer
Arizona Green Tea

Yeah I got drunk alone for the first time last week. Only meant to had one beer but it turned into 9.

Was fun, but stayed off the drink last two nights to be on the safe side.

I don't think getting drunk alone is that much of a problem, it's whether or not it becomes a common thing. I quite like to have a few drinks before I start an essay, to be honest.

yeah i sink beers quite often on a friday/saturday night, but i'm in uni halls so it's nice to sit back, put a dvd or vinyl on, make up some ridiculous dinner and have some drinks. there's a nice collection of becks bottles on my desk right now which cast a nice green ambient glow over my workstation.

which reminds me - becks is probably my favourite beer actually, but i hardly see it around anymore except for that becks blue alcoholic free shite. seriously i can't remember the last time our tesco stocked the proper stuff, or that that matter the last pint i had pulled at a pub or bar.

that said, i very rarely get drunk these days unless i've had like an entire bottle of jim beam or something. cans/bottles of beer go right through me, or they stick with me as my beer gut would have you tell, haha. seriously - and i'm not boasting here as it's a ****ing annoyance and a huge dent in my wallet - but if i'm not feeling the whiskey, i'll go through ****ing tons of cans at a party and not feel much at all until the end of the night.

it sucks.

edit: if i'm a gig or club it's red stripe. red stripe is a classic gig beer because of it's cheapness.

Its good stuff. When I go out drinking its either a white russian or a jack and coke.

fave non alcoholic would be either root beer or thai iced tea.

next time i'm at the bar i will try that. also i keep hearing red stripe and thinking 'red landing strip' but its Jamaican so whatever floats your boat. my friend said its awesome

Red Stripe really is an appalling beer. Real terrible.

I drink beer mostly, havent found a vodka that I have liked yet.

As far as beers go, Stella Artois, Alexander Keith, Red Stripe and La Fin du Monde are all pretty good. I also tried a Belgium Christmas beer once, was quite good.

Rum and coke is tasty as well.

Otherwise, I drink a lot of Sprite, and Chocolate Milk is great.

White Russians aren't bad, it was the only cocktail/thing I knew when I was at the Casino last and I didn't want to look like an idiot, so I just kept getting those.

Favourite drink would have to be water though, for sure.

That's what a £3 bottle of 2litre cider 7.5% alcohol is for.

Jesus that stuff is WILD

On Friday I had a Sgroppino. That is basically a lemon ice slushy with alcohol. Ideal for the kiddies in this thread.

I usually just drink red wine, beer (stouts are heaven, otherwise I usually for some Czech lager) or whisky (usually Scottish or Irish blended, single malt is ****ing expensive); rarely any mixed drinks. Sometimes Rum and Coke or Gin and Tonic, but that's quite uncommon.

My list:

Non alc:

- Chocomilk (duh)
- Agua

Beer:

- Keith's
- Beck's
- Granville Island honey
- Heiny (can't go wrong)

Sippy:

- JD + C
- Mojito
- Vodka + 7
- Sake
- Screwdriver

Shots:

- Liquid Cocaine
- Fireball
- Jagerbomb (yeah, I know, shup)

Sobe green tea - all ****ing day

You see this shit right here? Everything you drink is casual compared to this shit. You are a dirty goddamn beverage casual and you don't even know it. Soda? Casual. Rockstar and other energy drinks? Get the hell out of here. Juice? You pussy. Oh, alchohol, hay guys am I mature yet I drink shitty beers and "hard" liquor. You're just a casual who's less inhibited.

This shit is BRAIN WASH. Lemme tell you about brain wash; I've gotta explain this shit to you because you're so dumb you're looking at the greatest drink on planet goddamn Earth and you don't even know.

First of all, it's called a soda, but that's just to mislead people 'cause they can't call it what it really is: a combination of paint thinner, shampoo, and three drops of the goddamn River Styx in every bottle. If you told people they were drinking the shit that Death himself paddles across as he ferries poor dead souls to their eternal resting place, nobody'd buy it. But that's what this is. It's the goddamn nectar of Death.

So what's it taste like? BURNING. Yeah, the verb. It tastes like burning. You know why? Because they put capsaicin in it. Oh yeah. If you don't know what that is, look that shit up. Or don't, 'cause I'm gonna tell you what it is right here anyway: it's the shit that makes other shit HOT. It's the prime component of peppers. Ever heard of the Scoville scale? Capsaicin is an irritant to humans. When you drink this stuff it's like you walked up to some chick and just grabbed her tits without asking, and she pulls out the pepper spray on you, BUT THEN YOU GRAB THE PEPPER SPRAY AND YOU DRINK IT. Every sip you take strips the very lining from your throat as it fights its way down. Even the smell assails you, and when you drink it, it feels like your body is trying to gush it back up through your nose in order to expel the foul concoction from your body.

Also, it turns your tongue blue.

Oh, but it gets better. See, they stopped making brain wash. They stopped making it YEARS ago. I don't know why. I've got theories. But for whatever reason, the little factory in LA where this stuff was produced just stopped one day, a few years ago. Yet you can still find brain wash on the shelves sometimes. You know what that means? Every bottle of brain wash you consume isn't just fiery hot death meant to completely obliterate your insides, but it's expired fiery hot death meant to completely obliterate your insides. Which is why I like to keep this shit stocked in my fridge, because I just never know when I might not be able to find any more. I buy it up every chance I get, like stumbling onto treasure I know is cursed, but I just can't help hoarding it.

So enjoy your beer and tea and shit. I'll just be over here drinking the glorious master beverage.

My favourite cocktail is a Margharita. It's also handy because I only need one to get nicely hammered if I drink it quickly enough.

My favourite wine is Marlborough, it's a white wine from New Zealand.

My favourite non-alcoholic drink is Orangina. You can't get it in Ireland so whenever I go away I drink it non-stop, and buy a big stash of it to bring home with me. There used to be a coffee shop near where I go to college that sold it, but they don't any more. I have a feeling I bought their entire stock.

Non-alcoholic probably Appletiser.

Alcoholic I suppose Koppargberg Pear or Havana Club 7yr old dark rum.
