Favorite First Person Shooter

I really enjoyed Call of Duty 2, it blew me away when I first played it. Still fun to pick up every once in a while.
 
Planetside.

So many god damn experiences that I'll never forget.
 
Multiplayer: DoD(source and original) then TF2, then RTCW
Singleplayer: Halflife then all of the Splinter Cell games.
 
HL2 the Unreal series CoD and though this is not PC its a FPS
The Metroid Prime series
 
Absolutely, definitively, undoubtedly, it's Operation Flashpoint.

TF2 comes a reasonably close second, or wins the MP-only award.
 
I have fond memories of the original CoD, great campaign.

For my mp I'll go with darkseid on TFC.

Ah yeah, first time I played the CoD demo I was blown away, same thing for Medal of Honor Allied Assault, the beach landing was awesome.
 
Halo 1. I spent an entire weekend defeating Halo on legendary with my sister. Its one of the only times we beat a video game together and it was a great time.

MP: Team Fortress 2, Natural Selection

Oh heck yes. I played AA to death for like 4 years before i found HL. Haven't played Airborne yet.
 
Rite now it would be TF2....



But the best game of ALL time...well....

Holy shit, I can't say. TF2 rocks, but Natural-Selection trumps it.
 
NS is about the least newbie-friendly mod ever.
 
It must be really un friendly to newbs as the download page /NS website wont even load for me.

Half Life 2 and Deus Ex are in a bloody fight. When one of them wins, I will tell you. Anyway I have never played Natural Selection. Gotta get it.
 
I forgot about System Shock 2.. I'd say R6, Condemned (1 and 2), and SS2 are all tied, they are just plain old fun.

Blood. It's an old game and it's old build engine is painful to look at by today's standards, but Blood is still the goriest, most action packed FPS of all time imo. Makes FEAR look like a choir boy. Tossing a bundle of dynamite into a horde of zombies, fanatics, and gargoyles, then proceeding to watch the gibs fly, and the crimson rain pour, never gets old!

BTW, I lost my copy and desire another one. It was lost when my old PIII system kicked the bucket too. :( I must get it again someday fs.

Does anybody know of a good place to buy and download it from? :|
 
Haha, the only other FPSs I've played were waaaayyyy back in the day, Goldeneye and Star Wars: Dark Forces. Had loads of fun with both of them. :D

true, some people say the story was cheesy, some say it was all over-dramatized, some say it was short and some Muslims didn't like it, but to say to say it SUCKED MAJOR DONKEY BALLS is blasphemy..
