Favorite free modeler.

Im thinking about starting modeling and i was wondering what everyone's favorite free modeler is

i havnt used any of the other, so its GMax all the way baby !!

ive heard that XSI is good, but i cant use it because i only have Win 98.

if you're starting, i dont think it really, really matters because you're learning the same basic techniques. but once you get into learning more complex tools, then you want to be using the right tool for you. if you find you need to or want to change to a different one later on, it means learning the layout and possibly some more tools.

i like GMax though ,its exactly the same as Max, and you can get your models out of there and into other programs. PM if you want to know how.

going to be a bit to the point here. Why not just get your programs like everyone else does and get 3dsmax5, even 3dsmax6 if u have windows XP.

Not everyone does that, IchI. In fact, if you ever are hired to freelance on a retail game, I hope that someone finds out you pirated $5000 software, thus making every single model you contributed a complete waste of time.

I would have more common sense (hard to believe) if it ever came to that. But who said anything about getting illegil software. No, no, no No one does that here :cheese:
