Phobie: Best book ever.

Also I remember reading a book about a cat who got put outside at night when its family was eating dinner, and he got all sad, and then he met all the night time creatures and had a good time. Anyone know which book I'm talking about?

Two books by a dutch writer called Bies van Ede:

De heksen van het zwarte licht (the witches of the black light)

and

Bloed op de heksensteen (bloed on the witchstone)

A book about how babies are made, complete with pictures of mummy and daddy "hugging".

So much giggling.

I did not like reading, I did not like seuss,
I hated his rhymings, his flabjabs and cooks.

I'm not sure if they are kid's book but Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and also Through the Looking-Glass... are one the most amazing and inspirational books ever written.
I also loved The Moomins and the Great Flood.

A Very Hungry Caterpillar

Either that or the Enormous Crocodile. That's for a really, really young kids book.

For an older kids book, I'd have said one of Roald Dahl's ones. Perhaps Fantastic Mr. Fox.

one of canada's greatest writers also wrote a few children's books
